Don't pay much attention to preseason matches, in fact I've only ever been to 1 in my life and that was when we beat Liverpool 4-1 at Burnden in the mid nineties. Good to see we are scoring goals and not conceded one yet, long may it continue.

A mixture of our fans would have been better organised when we lost 1-7 so excellent progress whatever their team was!

In other news, the nearest Saturday to a year ago today, we lost 5-0 to a poor Ipswich team, Parky had just resigned and Jimmy Phillips was caretaker manager.  We got the lowest league attendance ever at Reebok.  EFL gave us till Tuesday to complete the sale or provide credible plans we could complete the season, or face expulsion.  All in all I'm grateful for where we are now.

pre season is what pre season is however what you can’t underestimate with those results is the confidence it breaths in to the players. In Evatt, his ideas and the team as a whole. They’ll be chomping at the bit to for the proper stuff to start
