Another dreadfully cheap goal given away. Footballing defenders who can stride forward and pick a pass is all very nice but no great use if they can't do the basics of defending. Santos just stood ball watching there.

He does but Baptiste’s also half at fault then as Santos was drawn to his man and caught between the 2 of them as he just left him. he still looks a calamity, even at this level

Theres clear communication issues between the 3 CB’s and also the CB’s and WB’s. Hopefully it’s sorted in time...

id play a similar team against Crewe on tuesday last test before it starts 

No idea what's been being worked on defensively in training and the pre season games but some really basic issues evident throughout today, communication and positioning - wise. Hopefully a few more games will sort them. Bradford haven't had to do anything of any great quality to win today

Don’t know whether it’s the speed of the stream but it felt like it was played in slow motion. Very little intensity. Probably backed up by the first booking being in stoppage time. Encouraging in parts though and it’s no good hitting 100mph at this stage of the season.

I don’t think Bradford have much more to give so that gives me massive confidence as we’ve a stack of improvements in us as time goes on. 
 

if that’s a yardstick for the top end of the opposition we face in the league this year then I’m more than happy with that

Some lovely play that will only get better and more clinical with time. Can't see us bossing any games if we don't improve at the back.

Given it was 11 new players out there I'm happy enough with what I've seen... Might take us a little while to find our best formation but we'll be reet.

Did you have a word with cameraman for some extra advertising in first half? Took a long lingering zoom in on the ad boards at one point! 😀

Neither Gethin or Gordon tried to get past the last defender to get a cross in .Sometimes you just have to go for it rather than keeping possession.

Thought Taft looked a bit clumsy and off the pace

Lots of room for improvement and a few promising signs. First job of a centre back is to defend. Im worried thats been overlooked

And i don't think crellin looked better than Alexander and Alexander looks very green

Anyway the back 3 bothered me Santos looked clumsy still dont rate Baptiste and teams will get behind us too easily. But a lot to be encouraged about as well. A whole new team playing together it really is going to take around ten games i reckon and weve hardly started.  impressed with Tom White mom for me. Crellin looks ok and Sarcevic is a goid player.  Once we get better service up to Doyle we will be fine. Only really the two ive mentioned worry me and it is very early but at least trying to play football.
