Rotator Cuff Damage

@MancWanderer couldn’t even help you off the books so to speak, mate of mine is a physio and he helped a lady at her house with a neck problem, she was fine and he told her to rest it. She went out clubbing and hurt her neck again. Went for an X-ray and she had damaged two vertebrates in her neck, and tried to sue him. It never made it to court but he ended up in front of a board with his license suspended for 3 months unable to work.

Don’t blame you

And, 8 glasses of water

Not a fucking chance

Listen you don’t get a glowing flawless complexion like mine without my 8 glasses

I'm fucked then

But for now, my only problem is a sore back. Right hand side low down

Muscular I think as its been there about 3 or 4 years and I keep aggravating it

So that’s muscle, so I can give you some stretching exercises to do, important to do these when you wake up. If it’s reoccurring then I’d advise acupuncture or cupping, and I’ve got a chap who does both

Cupping- I've got a couple of photos of my back after this. Looks like the result of torture. If folk saw it they'd be really cautious.

That said, the acupuncture/electric pulses followed by cupping was "enjoyable" in the sense that it helps you feel better.

Depends upon the size of the glass.

And whether I can mix it with hops

Seriously, it may explain a lot, but I bet I don't drink a pint of anything, water, coffee, coke, most days

And beer is only 2 nights

It looks horrendous but by all accounts it’s incredibly successful

Ive only ever had acupuncture in my knee and it was such a great pain relief

Few years ago I went to see a consultant in Italy who specialised in small tear injuries. He told me about removing meat in diets in particular red meat.

Increasing H20 levels so muscles will never be dehydrated.

I tried it with some players who kept having reoccurring small tear injuries and over a period of 6 months they started to become a thing of the past.

Stayed in touch with her and I referred her to a player in particular and she got me to look at putting him on a vegan diet, the dietician was a little skeptical but came round to it, and his injury record is excellent now for the type of player he is.

All players now at city have to register their H20 levels everyday. It’s crucial.

I drink quite a lot, I think. Mentioned this before to Rudy, I regularly drink water. As soon as I've had my evening meal, I'll knock back a glass full. Also helps to remove that feeling of perhaps wanting something else to eat that isn't really needed.

More readily drink water than squash and juice.

The red meat is interesting: certainly want to reduce it, and reckon I've already done so to an extent, though moreover for environmental reasons.

Must confess though; last night I casseroled Bambi in red wine. Was very good.

I have a frayed supraspinatus rotator cuff tendon which Is touching my humerus, had this condition for over 20 years now, really could do with surgery, but been told I will have some restrictions in my movement, so I've just put up with the pain.

Will it not fray more without surgery though?

Was told that it wouldn't get any worse and tbh 22 years after my MRI scan results it hasn't, was told to contact the consultant when the pain got really bad and he'd slip a cortisone in there, I've just got on with it.

Interesting stuff that.

On the red meat thing, in our group of mates, we lost 2 to heart attacks, both in their late 40s.  Both fit lads on the outside too.  It prompted one of the lads to have a cholesterol test and he was off the scale (14 or so I think).  He became a vegan immediately.  His next cholesterol test, not that long afterwards, and it was under 2.

Drinking lots of water is a great idea in theory. Not so much when you're working on site a few hours every day and there's nowhere to nip to for a quick slash.  At least maccys are open this time round, but its 1 at a time in their bogs and theres usually some animal in there dropping his guts.

Yeah they will raise your cholesterol so high because they’re full of saturated fats with no real benefits where as chicken and fish fats have benefits

Yeah I get that with the inconvenience, it’s just bred into me now, my body is reliant on heavily drinking water

Animal fats come in for high energy consumption. Remember listening to a polar explorer talking about living largely on fats during an expedition. Means taking less weight.

My Norwegian fire wood book has some woodsmen consuming over 8000 calories per day- reckon they club a seal and take it with them.
