I'd like to believe it, but there's been no shortage of stories re. Russia's imminent collapse since this war begun and they've always turned out to be wide of the mark

I'm sure it will stabilise after a day or two. But it's a good example of the West getting back on the front foot.

Not a cat in hell's chance anyone is settling for that unless something significant changes.

Maybe so Putin, in his mind, is the good guy

I said I would end it all but Ukraine and the West chose not to accept it

Russian population laps it up and so he justifies carrying on

Then says to the likes of North Korea, send us more missiles

I don't think there is an imminent collapse neither.

But possibly some game changing moves that will make Ukrainian chances of success higher.

I wonder at what point the Russian hierarchy would say enough is enough and pull out (or turn on Putin if he continues)

I am not so sure there is the same hierarchy that there once was, Putin seems to have seen to that.

I really hope he gets potted though the little druggy cunt.

Went to St Petersburg in 2019

Putin is from there

In shops you could buy t-shirts with those pics with him topless on a horse on them

And little statues of him

Morning

Why bother having soldiers when you can just build millions of drones?

the drones cost far more than the human life is worth

Some poor bugger still has to launch the drones.

Those little buggers can't fly that far so need to be launched relatively close to the front.

As an aside, all these videos show the land pock-marked by numerous explosions.

Whenever it ends, the fields are going to need a lot of clearing and restoration work, before the agricultural economy can fully get going again.

They can travel a fair bit. They're not ones you see flying around a local park

That is a very different type to the little pov things used close in on the battle field.

They are fairly small, and are relatively easy and cheap for the Ukrainians to use, especially as a kamikaze weapon.

There are a number of articles available describing how people there were switching their skills and making them. A bit like folk producing protective equipment for the nhs during covid.

The power requirements alone, and a decent sized payload change the required scale for such a long journey.
