Are we going up?

The other day Rudy said we were 250-1 to win the league.

I put £10 on at 150-1.

Decent odds for a team on a roll.

  • Actually the new Bolton is go one up, miss 27 chances then defend for last 25 minutes potentially with 10 men and pretty certain with a non goal keeper in nets after Gilks injures himself knee sliding

Talk about a week being a long time in football.  With 10 minutes to go at Mansfield they were 2 pts above us with a game in hand, top of the form table and looking at play offs.  A week later we're 1

  • Still have every faith. Not even arsed we lost today. Had to lose somewhere and now is the right time to do it. I think Maddison needs a couple of starts.

Gilks looks like his race is run to me, looks slow in his reactions last couple of games

Bit of sun on his back and he will be fine.

Baptiste and Santos are fantastic at the moment. I've been very critical of our defence not being commanding at heading crosses out, we seem to have cut the supply of them out a lot the last few games

It’s no surprise they look good got good centre mid partnership in front of them.

The form table is over 6 games, the form alongside the league table over5 games. We’re strolling that.

As an aside, how come, in Trashmere’s last 6 games, five were at home?

Don't you know?

PUMP IT UP, the Whites are going up!

I agree, the non stop supply has dried up. 3 games in but I'm massively impressed with Declan John. Hardly a cross of any threat has come in from that side in his 3 games.

Midfiekders are not getting their time to pick passes out to wingers either.

Our team is massively better than it was 6 weeks ago

Think play-offs is a reasonable goal to aim for considering our momentum and squad now but a few bad results could change all that.

Don't think autos are out of reach but I don't think it's a likelihood that we perform well enough to reach them.

Need to remember the dreaded manager of the month award.

Hopefully our draw with Morecambe will mean he doesn't get it, but we need to keep winning the rest.

Won't need too many points this season. It's a shit league. Games in hand will shaft most teams

As was pointed out earlier, Carlisle have a lot of games in hand. Possibly going to be quite a few eight-day weeks with three games. It’s to be hoped they have a reasonable squad.

Carlisle have a game every midweek now until game 45 on Sat 1st May. Then a week off until the finale on the 8th.

51 to play for from 17 games

39 more and we are asking big questions

Agreed, getting in the top 7 should be manageable. Comfortably too.

Making the next step up into top 3 much more difficult

The bonus about this league is that no games appear unwinnable.  If you're in the Championship and you're Barnsley making a run for the play offs, you fear playing Norwich, Swansea, Watford.  Not one game in this league is a write off, every game is a chance for 3 points as long as you're playing OK (a few weeks ago every game was a chance of a new low).

Taft factor could be interesting on Tuesday. Hope to fuckery IE's decision to let him go is justified.

He never did anything for us so it already is

Gave a clumsy pen away today, lad got in behind him and he pushed him down

Too little too late for me.  The squad is much stronger and we've won 2 games that earlier in the season we probably would have lost.  However, we've yet to perform well over 90 minutes and it's easy to fall the wrong side of the fine margins that are currently benefiting us.

8th and we start next season hot favourites.

Here’s hoping they’re in for a bit of minor flooding again.

I was the same age as your lad is now when  we beat Reading in the playoffs, I can close my eyes and still see it now. Hopefully he gets to witness that or better ☺️

Nooooo. Automatic please. I don’t give a fuck about the day in London, I come away from Wembley visits disappointed as often as elated.

We’re at home for the next two games though G.

One of them is a night match too.

Anything less would be poor so a yes from me

I’m thinking going up in 3rd place with a goal in the last minute of the last game away at Crawley, having sat in 8th place with a game to go would probably boil the most piss.

Automatic promotion this year and then we can win the League 1 Play Offs next year when the pressures off.

Gilkes ain’t one to worry about, easily good enough at this level in fact with Williams, Lee, Santos, Baptiste in front he can afford to put his slippers on. 😂
