26k ish I think.

So fag packet maths 500 a week, so she could try for 16.5?

Yeah it all depends on what their redundancy policy says though.
Legally they do have to provide a redundancy statement, so she really needs to ask for that to see how it is worked out.

Last time I was made redundant they got my salary, benefits, length of service and notice period all wrong. All in favour of the company. They offered me about £8k I was due nearly £25k. That was part of a mass redundancy so no excuse really. Getting the offer in writing is very important.

@Dr Faustus I’m looking for investors for RUDEBOI’s patio furniture and accessories

St. George’s flag coloured patio furniture in time for the euros, light weight for easy launching, facial recognition preventive St. George’s masks, stone island goggles for tear gas protection

The works mate

If your Maude wants to double her money give me a shout

i only check stuff when i need to but stat redundancy is 1 week per year from memory but then theres the age 40 a bit

cant remember how that changes it

does it go to 1.5 weeks per year or is that just for the years over age 40?

Not sure on statutory. Was assuming if they were talking about a deal they were offering company terms.

When I went through the process beginning of last year statutory was 1 week per year under 40, over 40 goes to 1.5 weeks per year and they take your best 20. I'd done 39 years and was 57 so I got 17 x 1.5 + 3 x 1. Capped at £535 per week. Then a separate payment in lieu of 12 weeks notice when that period had expired and was still on the scrapheap. Again capped at 535 pw

Whole of the airport staff are in a consultation period. Serious shit. Unions involved. Possibly wanting to reduce all salaries.

Wife opted for voluntary yesterday. Doesn’t think it will be a happy place to work for the foreseeable.

We worked out stat at 13.5k, voluntary was 17ish... As they are trying to save money and she's really fair, asked for 15.

At 6.30, they came back with an offer of 14k... Shit houses

Go back and ask for £18k and the laptop

I'm going for a company car too

Considering she works from home I fancy my chances

Does that include any payment in lieu of notice ?

If you agree with them to include the notice as redundancy it makes it all tax free, it is slightly dodgy but hey ho. Also worth saying to them if they settle for the higher amount it will save them time and money. Say they have a Head of HR on 52k and another boss on similar their pay is £200 a day so a quick solution is cost effective.
