Covid-19

Slow news day, or end of the world?

”Aggressive” new variant has landed in Moscow. Makes people, even those that have been vaccinated, more poorly than previous types.

Time for Uncle Joe to push the button? Short term pain.

Wow, that will be some atmosphere. No Italian restaurants will be open on Sunday, they'll be down Wembley.

I wouldn't fancy owning an italian restuarant/takeaway in large parts of the country if Italy win.

England fans can be uncharacteristically violent in defeat.

can't remember which World Cup

but one year, all the kitchen staff at Leo's kept watching the games on a TV in the kitchen, and kept getting distracted and cocking things up

so the owner mid match took the TV and put it out the front

bout an hour later someone had nicked it

Seasoned correctly, just leaves a delicate salty aftertaste

We've had plenty of practice.

Our local Iceland got ransacked in 2016 😁

I had a Tomahawk at Leo's (Rocco's) when Rishi was handing out free ten pound notes towards it last year. Immense.

One thing that sticks with me was the owner coming over taking the order and due to social distancing he had to take a table out of the upper level, I think it was table 4.  He was complaining about having to do that, it wrecked his table plan / apologising because the staff were confused as all the subsequent table numbers had moved by one, "All the staff is used to 6 being over there and now it's here which used to be 5" - His face was a picture when I pointed out that if table 4 had been removed, just don't have a table 4 and leave all the others the same 😄

Not been since its been roccos

Is it actually a good steak or is it bang average but every loves it because its 1.5kg so they can post on social media that they've eaten half a cow?

There's a difference.

Once did a tomahawk steak for all three of us. A whole one on your own is pure decadence.

A few of went out for a meal the other week, me and my mate ordered a Tomahawk each, it was immense, but then it should have been at nearly £100. Anyway, I asked if I could take the bone home for my dog, they said it was OK, and they would wrap it up in the kitchen - they then came back with 6 of the fuckers, some of them with shit loads of meat still left on them. The dog loves them, and has munched through a couple of them already

Top effort that. Dog will love you long time.

Asked a butcher recently for any dog bones. He brought out a chuck of rib cage that the rib eyes etc had been removed from, separated them and bagged them up.

When we got home,  there was that much meat still left that I cut it off and made a casserole with it!

Still stuff for the dogs too.
