It's the people wingeing about others living their lives I can't be doing with now. If Betty and Burt want to carry on isolating and not going to bingo once a week you crack on. As for me, I have alot of drinking and regret to catch up on!

Supposedly, the rest of Europe is using the UK as a study to see what happens when vaccination levels are high and the economy opens up.

Looks like they will have to overcome hesitancy to avoid a similar situation.

Hopefully there'll be no complaints should the backlog of treatment start growing again.

There has to be a level of cases admitted, both to allow the nhs to perform it duties as a whole, and to allow businesses to function- perversely opening up is now hindering that. Hopefully that will resolve soon.

You would assume those in possession of all the data have crunched the numbers, and this is part of the plan, before autumn arrives. Concern is, it will repeat later if not enough of the younger people have the vaccine.

Somebody who knows what they were talking about on the radio today, due to the rise in cases there is an increase in numbers  turning up at hospital due to, but if they are admitted are generally in for a shorter period than previously, thanks to the Vaccine

To all those people who think everyone should just crack on, 118 out of 247 Covid deaths last week were people that were fully vaccinated (both injections) according to PHE. This shit is not going away is it ?

I work part-time at a funeral home. At any one time we can have around 6-10 deceased, usually older adults. Assuming, when alive, they or their careers were of sound mind and not antivaxers, they’ll have been double-jabbed.

If any of these folk tested Covid+ do they get recorded as double-jabbed deaths or does someone have the balls to say at 95 years old they were due anyway?

They’d go down as a Covid death. The key phrase within the stats being “died with Covid” but not necessarily “died from Covid”.  

Anyone know how many owd folk die from flu each year, even after having their flu jab?
