Fuck derby county

Never particularly liked them as a club but feel sorry for their fans, seems like every season this thing is happening now and with each case it seems to get more complex.

At least our financial meltdown was preceded by a decade of memories in the Premier League. Derby just had a few playoff attempts.

The history behind Wycombe's claim is widely known but regarding Middlesborough having a claim,  I haven't looked at last season's results and league tables but is it possible they'd have been promoted automatically had Derby's record been expunged?

Just a stab in the dark.

They beat boro to a play off place a season or 2 earlier.

Correct, plus they put that down to their financial dishonesty. Gibson is claiming losses equivilant to the value of promotion, Premiership income & funds and potential parachute money even if things went wrong.

£46m !!! Pushing his luck maybe, and rather assuming they'd have won the play-offs, but it's big money (& why it matters so much).

I agree with "fck Derby" but keep being wrankled by them being serial offenders on their finances. This is the 3rd time they've gone into Administration & they just bounce back.

Big club, lots of fans, good history (financials apart), ordinary town. I wish them no ill ... but they need to finance themselves properly.

Fantastic home support but they don’t travel away well given the size of home support. Anyhow it’s another away defeat next season if they don’t go bust as our record their is terrible.

But Rooney is doing a great job 🙄

He is actually.  Everton should be getting him in sharpish instead of chasing Roberto and his dream team. Bloke can't win anything with De Bruyne, Hazard Lukaku etc and already sacked once by Everton? Get the granny shagger in one thing he will give it his all should be entertaining to say least.

That's gonna come down drastically, it will have to, a bit like ours when we fell from the EPL, contracted players that you can do fuck all about except pay them.

When did Derby last play in the prem?

Like someone stated above, they shouldn't go bust, but they do need to go the way we did, embargo restrictions etc...,  Portsmouth, Luton etc did, its only fair.

Good fan base, I'd sooner have them than your tinpot Fleetwoods and Accringtons... and Bournemouth.

I was looking for the words to describe my attitude to this and you summed it up nicely.

Derby add to the attraction of the EFL for me, many of the other clubs detract from it, but of course they have to be punished.  Just hope they survive because the fans don't deserve to lose their club, we know how helpless we all feel when its our club that has broke the rules through no fault of our's.

Correct. I just wish it was a one off, not their third time.

Local News (I live East of the Pennines) speculating liquidation at the end of the month.

Shedding experienced players and transfer embargo kicking in.

Someone said Boris Johnson should step in and save a midlands club part of his "levelling up" promise, bollocks. Perhaps they should level up Pride Park

Don't agree with this Derby should be here or there becasue they are big and not Fleetwood etc.

Might ad well just pack it all in now, hand the title to Utd because they're the biggest.

Clubs are where they are on merit. Size doesn't matter.

Obviously a caveat over rich folk dabbling with clubs, but ffp has been introduced to stop this.
