I've just had an email back from Cambridge to say they have booked me a parking space directly off Newmarket Road at the front of the stadium

  • Thank god someone else said it. Football fans eh ? All these lads with a compass on their tops and they can only find their way to 'spoons.    https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/engla

Stuck in traffic around Lincoln after a lane was closed, then a diversion just as we came into Cambridge that took us miles off route.  If it's as bad for Ipswich in a few weeks, we'll miss kick off.

wtf sort of route is that ?

Jump on the rattler. Plenty of time to get the 8.15 via Euston.

Ticketsplit website for Plymouth. 13 different train tickets but only 1 change

Town, then taxi to the ground

Quickest way IMO.

We did A1 and were away at 7 and here for 10.

3 hours - traffic surprisingly light on the A1 considering BH weekend etc….

Aye, we were just unlucky with a car fire on the M62, broken down lorry on the A1 and then diversions coming into the city.  Woken up this morning in the disabled room in a very 1990s B&B.  I feel like Brian Potter.

Hoping to be much happier in a few hours!

Im in car mate. Says on ground guide theres a fanzone with ale and a club that lets aways in. Parking looks a bit tricky.

If you're stuck finding free parking places, drive along Newmarket Rd out of town, turn left at the Corner House pub and park down by the river, up to 8 hrs for £2.40 per hour. Easy walk to the ground.

I'm going to try and park in Chesterton and have a pint at the Green Dragon

Is this walk tarmaced ??

Anyone heading to Liverpool Street for train to Cambridge......don't....all trains to Cambridge currently cancelled. Had to dash to Kings Cross to get train.

All platforms tarmacked and dry.

Couple of pubs at the station now saves the 15 minute walk to town.

Decent pubs on the way out towards the stadium around Mill Road area

Devonshire arms

Kingston Arms

Cambridge blue

Petersfield

Geldart

Alexandra arms

Although prepare for the price of a round in most!

Central Cambridge has spoons (one of biggest in UK apparently) grain and hop store, brewdog,  the pint shop.  Avoid the Eagle as always filled with tourists due to its link with Watson and Crick.

Out the otherside the Cambridge brewhouse and Fort St George (decent outside area).

Wrestlers pub on way to ground is more of a Thai restaurant than boozer

Bumping this up. Currently getting dry bummed in Bills in the city centre for breakfast (nobody to blame but myself) but this looks like a good run to me 👍

Best be eggs benedict of you're being dry bummed

It was sunny up north!

Mill road is a good shout, it is the student area so generally cheaper. You can pick up your half time vegan treats as well if you don't have any pocket meats.

By student I mean Anglia poly.

I'm heading for The Mill

What time are you due in? Just ignoring @CambridgeBWFC’s advice and having a pint in The Eagle which seems to be round the corner from the Mill. God love our Maud, “right, it’s 11 o’clock, find us a pint”

Full brunch. No messing. £13 mind. Fell for the bottled water trick and all.

Don’t know if this had been asked but any boozers near ground?
