I've just had an email back from Cambridge to say they have booked me a parking space directly off Newmarket Road at the front of the stadium

  • Thank god someone else said it. Football fans eh ? All these lads with a compass on their tops and they can only find their way to 'spoons.    https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/engla

It’s one of the frustratingly dominant defeats that will bring the likes of whites63 and hughmungus out of their holes.

You are left thinking how did we not get the ball in the back of the net. Similar to lots of games last year, attack against defence. Credit to them for throwing bodies on the line. But if a game plays out like that again 9/10 Bolton will win, Cambridge will lose.

Not quite precise enough in final third. We needed a goal in that really dominant 15 mins after half time.

Another attacker needed before transfer window. IE tried everything, fair play.

Not to be today, but not distraught about the performance, gutted about the result, we’ll be back. Nothing to get despondent about

Very fair assessment. What really pisses me off tho is you still have John and Baptiste passing back to Dixon in injury time, then he doesnt launch it! So frustrating, and i think its time to put Santos up front for the last five minutes if we are losing!

Poor officials very poor

far too much playing backwards and lack of movement, Cambridge did a good job tbf

good to see the regulars

Evatt will say, its pointless lumping it and our best way of creating a chance is to pass it

I think he's right

Hope you've got your rubber kex on

That Peters would make a right mess of the washer

One shot on target in 90 minutes; might be worthwhile trying something different?

If we had an option, quite possibly

But currently, he's fucked

Its all about opinions! He will also say tomorrow that they were wasting time, which, yes, they did, but we wasted far more time passing sideways in our own half!, hence the 74% possession!

Probably better our attacking deficiency shows up now rather than later as other posters have said some alternative options even if they are u-23 loans might be more than less likely after today, not that Evatt isn’t aware but might nudge our board to into realistic recruitment.

Think Evatt will act even not registering Comley & Crawford.

Awful result especially since the club sacrificed a League Cup run for it.

Looks to me like Sunderland, Sheff Weds and Wigan are the best 3 sides in the division.I reckon they are the 3 that spend the most money on players

fukc off back to theatre of shite

Not watched the 2 aways this week so only going off i-follow commentary and reports, but adding those to the Oxford and Lincoln games its not difficult to tell our achilles heal is getting shots on target.  Few and far between from what I've seen and heard.

As said above though, we lost, we were due one, its not the end of the world.  It feels better than getting thrashed v Orient or Port Vale and IE will know what's needed in the next couple of transfer windows.

Cambridges first away win of the season . Had to happen eventually.

Walked back from ground towards centre and first pint we could find was in our Travelodge. Kick ‘em out of the league FFS.

They certainly werent the home team.

Not read back, c3 bus is a wanker, I might have to run between k.c and Euston so watch out for a tsunami.

We were poor. Better than them. They got a goal and defended for their lives.

Did we do enough to take them additional 2 points off them? No

Did they deserve to go 1 up? Probably.

I think a fair result

I'm probably one of the first home... first thing I said when I got in "well that was a load of old bollocks"

What's your first words?

I'll let you know when home. Currently on A1(M) at Gainsborough.80 miles to go

We pass the ball about, they’re more direct than us

That's what I saw.

They got the ball and were on us, we got the ball and played square passes in front of our box.

We only started competing in the last 10 minutes.

Santos appeared to be low in confidence and at in the first half I said to the bloke next to me he seemed blind in his right eye, wouldn't pass it wide at all.

Because we didn’t create any chances.

I don’t mind us mincing about with it at the back when we’re winning and seeing a game out,but endlessly playing the ball accross the back 4 or passing back to Dixon is no fucking use when we’re chasing a game.

In one! Casino disagree tho!

I think this is magnified when we don’t win and as you say don’t create as many clear-cut chances as we should.

Lots of times we got round the back, flashed crosses across the box, hit the ball too hard/wide/inaccurately and shot/headed poorly.

I agree with IE analysis that we made poor choices in the final third today. In the opening games, and I’m sure again in future games, we’ll do the same amount of sideways/backwards passing (which can tire and wear sides down and create openings) be more incisive in the final 3rd and win games. In those situations the possession based football we play gets praised rather than criticised.

It didn’t work today. I think it will work more often than it doesn’t in the future, especially if we can strengthen in the window. And if not we should trust IE to sort it out.

Dominated the game without creating a clear cut chance, they created one and took it... 0-1

I saw 4 or 5 chances, when they got the ball they made it count, reckon Dixon's hands were stinging a couple of times

I've watched BWFC a couple of times this season, away behind the goal.

I bloody hate it when we're defending but I like what I see when we're attacking
