I've just had an email back from Cambridge to say they have booked me a parking space directly off Newmarket Road at the front of the stadium

  • Thank god someone else said it. Football fans eh ? All these lads with a compass on their tops and they can only find their way to 'spoons.    https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/engla

Very shit armchair fan today, but daughter said at least one near her was dragged out for a bit of racist abuse

Shes guessing somebody outed em

Good day out, could have been better with at least a point, went on the terrace in  my wheelchair, stewards were brilliant and couldn't do enough for me, parking in the official club carpark for free was even better, back in Athy for 8.30,

Only saw one getting marched out by about 4 police.

Walking back to the car and it was going off with a Bolton fan outside the pub opposite. Getting fed up of trouble every match atm. Clubs gotta start coming down in people before we get a reputation.

Glad we moved away from them, I don't mind passion and piss headness and think it's part of the day but they were just brain dead.

Straight out the car park on to Newmarket Road, A14 and A! clear as owt, you know Vinnie doesn't hang about

The 3 pubs closest to the ground were closed until 6.00pm, one said a private party was booked, what a load of bollocks, if you run a pub open the fucker and make some money

I'm probably one of the first home... first thing I said when I got in "well that was a load of old bollocks"

What's your first words?

Thank god I went watching Marple cricket club firsts and having a few pints......

1 shot on target tho isn’t going to win many matches at all really is it at this level ?

so bit of a reality check in that the game is about scoring goals to try and win games.

top half finish is a great result and we ain’t going to win every week.

next.......

Fuck me 6k on and it was like leaving Wembley traffic was a mare

no beer in terrace but sold in stand wtf another tinpot club who could’ve cashed in big time

Moral of the story don't go to Cambridge in a taxi

Lindsay corkhill oh yes

We played well for 75% of the pitch, after that nothing came off. Hard to say anyone played badly , equally hard  to say anyone was great.

Disappointing but not a disastrous performance. Missed train on way home. Got to travel back with @Trafso not all bad 😁😘

Good to see you, mate. Thoroughly enjoyed your company.

Saw plenty off here too, which was great.

:D

I was on the terrace  nothing like that went on, full support, frustration from fans around me in the latter stages, but that's expected, some have travelled 4 hours +, if Anyone wants a pop, it's strange imo, bit it's their perogative.

...... Next up.

That’s better.  I honestly think any fan who’s negative towards his own team needs straightening In the bogs at half time, it’s not constructive and solves nothing, just makes matters worse.  Glad nobody did, makes me feel better anyhow.

Rode into town with the wrong attitude.

As normal, we concede first. It’s now 4 games out of 5.

Not one ounce of creativity in the whole team.

Lose to a team that are the favourites to be relegated, and in my opinion will be.

Awful result.

I personally thought Josh Sheehan ran the show for us in the 2nd half , threaded loads of good passes to the wingers and plenty of runs at their defence . The problem was how isolated Doyle was and the final balls in the box weren't great.

Regarding Cambridge , while not going to score loads I do not think they'll concede many either . They've drawn with Oxford , beat us and hammered Burton , pretty good start in my eyes.

Watched the game on ifollow with radio cambridge commentators,    I never knew till today that wes hoolahan was the greatest footballer to ever walk this earth.

I know what you mean! lol he is a very good player at this level even remarkable at 39. But St. Wesley being booked! unheard of. Fouling our lot no he doesn't do that (even when he clearly pulled shirt) never a foul. Mis placed pass someone else fault. Literally beyond reproach all match

Sheehan was head & shoulders above the rest proper football brain always looking to pass & move FORWARD, don’t know why but too much going backwards many players could’ve travelled further with the ball.

take dapo out and we have no creativity whatsoever and as we found out with Doyle first half of last season no service and he really struggles

hopefully bad day at the office

Really dont get the drama, on twatter mainly. Another day the amount of pressure we had would lead to a goal no problem.

Think people forget theres an opposition with a plan in place to counteract our system. They did a job on Shehan and same on Dapo.

As for the fans, I saw and heard nothing but great support. We've had nob heads shouting silly things for 120 years, tell em shut the fuck up and they normally do.

Saw nothing yesterday to make me panic. Falling asleep in the first half simply cost us the match.

A little bit like the Grimsby performance last season, confident Evatt will sort it. Incoming striker please.
