Moonlandingz in Leeds was great on Friday night. Bug Club in Salford on Friday this week, Get Together festival in Sheffield on Saturday then Bearded Theory a week on Wednesday. Hopefully watch the play off final with my dad at their campervan or get a taxi into Burton.

couple of bigs uns announced down here for later in the year

Iron Maiden in November - £150

already seen them on this tour, but it was ace, so will probably go again

Guns N Roses in December - £165

never seen them, so feels like now or never, so will probably go

bit the bullet and gone with GnR over Iron Maiden (and Foos)

pricey, and his voice might have gone, but never seen them so if not now, when, probably never, I'd regret it

particulary as had a look at the set list they've kicked the tour off with and it looks great

also booked in Ash for September doing the 30th anniversary tour of 1977 which makes me feel all sorts of old

One that will likely split opinions but bagged a ticket for Angine de Poitrine later in the year. Microtonal batshitness.

They’re good, but they seem to have blown up thanks to Instagram. One minute nothing the next they’re everywhere

The music is decent. Remind me a bit of Primus. The tickets weren't ridiculously expensive so even if they're never seen again I don't mind. The resale tickets of one of their other shows here are going for $600+.

What's their best tune?

Sherpa for me

Fabienk is the one you’ll hear most of

I've already listened to both of them, and Sarniezz. All 3 sound the same. I thought there must be a brilliant one I hadn't heard yet, because I don't get it at all. If they wore normal clothes they'd still be unknown.

Speaking of Primus. They've got a new EP out. Great cover on there of Holy Diver.

playing Manchester later in the year, would be all over that if I could, even if it is on a Monday night

no sign of them down here

Off to London village tomorrow for Pixies at Royal Albert Hall. Set list seems heavily weighted to first 3 albums so hopefully worth it , although it was chance of RAH more than Pixies for umpteenth time that swayed it

Big night at Leigh last night. The Lilacs, Scouting for Girls and the Lottery Winners, with guest appearances from Jon Reverend and Frank Turner. Absolutely bloody brilliant, still on a high today

I'd rather have hot oil poured in my ears than listen to Scouting for Girls
