Never saw that coming. Yes, I great result. But let's not kid ourselves. Serbia were poor. I expected more from them.

Or maybe we were very good?

Set themselves up to play on the break perhaps, but England were at them from the off and didn't give them a sniff.

Couple of quick goals helped of course, and it could have been more.

Reckon you may have, but have since forgotten.

Had a good loan spell at Forest from Middlesbrough when he first came to light, during a cup run.

That's for me is a simple red card, yes the ball was going towards the edge of the box but Kane was still going to be 1 on 1 just on a bit of angle.

If it’s a left footer nobody really questions it. But the stronger foot of the player can’t be taken into consideration, neither can sprint speed etc. it’s a red card for me.

a miles better performance by the way. Some great football. We have really good pace and energy in wide areas (including off the bench) and when we can work the angles to get th 1v1 they will burn people. Well done England

Excellent performance.

Well done England.

Well done Tuchel 👏

Everything comes to he who waits.

The 'turgid Tuchel' screechers will still be at it mind. Especially those with rose tinted spectacles towards the preceding failure.

After recent performance's this one was a suprise. Serbia are decent. Serbia were never going to set up like Andorra. But if they had I suspect that we would have found it hard work. The problem we seem to have is breaking down teams who don't want to ship goals.

When Serbia set up today with 5 in midfield, I did think we were going to find it difficult to break them down.

But we did get at them straight from the off, so I thought we handled that well today.

Not even made the sqaud!

Big rumour is he's really struggling with his mental health.

I watched a youtube video of him fishing for carp the other day and he seems like a proper nice, quiet, down-to-earth lad. That's the nearest I've got to watching England since last years Euros final. And as you say, he isn't even in the squad. Didn't even know we were playing tonight.

Think we made Serbia look poor. This was the acid test for Tommy and we nailed it

Was a red late on for me, Kane would certainly have had a shooting chance. Superb performance, one of the most complete and comprehensive for a good few years. Serbia's negative attitude gave us an easier first 20 minutes than we might have expected but we capitalised fully and ruthlessly. Could have been 7 or 8 by the end.

One or two players might have made themselves hard to shift, regardless of who's to come back

Well that was unexpected. And very good. The question now is whether he sticks with those players or bring back Saka, Bellingham, Palmer etc. when they’re fit. Personally I’d give another try to the team that’s produced our best performance in a long time.

Madueke has a lot of pace which is a real bonus.

Palmer has incredible technique, which allows him to create a bit of space in tightly packed areas.

We know what Bellingham can do, and when "at it" is outstanding. Still wonder about his consistency.

The two in midfield have been the eye catching aspect for me.

Tougher tests in future obviously, but that partnership will grow as they play together.
