I’ve had 3 conversations with work colleagues & customers this morning.

Ive mentioned the peas every time and without exception been told that I must move in seriously twisted social circles.

That's just sick.

A little ramekin of baked beans would be acceptable though I reckon

How about a little side bowl of lobby?

cauliflower cheese on a christmas dinner

I love cauliflower cheese, in fact I think I'll make it tonight, but it forms no part of a Christmas dinner.

I've one kid who cant stand roasties, but loves chips

another one who'd eat cauliflower cheese with any meal

neither would have mushy peas though. been brought up proper

oh, my in-laws have pickled onions on their plate with a roast, one has a chunk of cheese too... and they eat Christmas cake with a slice of cheese.

Christmas cake and a slice of cheese and a glass of port is a tradition as old as the hills.

Like having fruit cake with cheese and grapes.

Honestly, how have people been brought up?

I quite like it once the icing and marzipan etc have been removed.
They're just vile.

So brandy soaked buttery fruit?

Yeah, pretty much and I'm quite happy to omit the fruit.

So brandy, really. Yes, I like brandy.

Some friends of ours have booked into the local Indian for their Christmas dinner, they are going to the pub from 12~2 and then straight down to the Indian for a slap up meal (restrictions allowing of course)
