I've found with NYE, the lower key, less hyped and closer to home your night is, the better your experience.

I got engaged 22 years ago tomorrow. I'll probably be sleeping in my car this time though.

They were all at it mate. Cream had a massive do on albert docks. Syndicate a little later on over this way did similar.

Mixing clubbers with main stream piss pots out on a night out. Disastrous for all concerned.

Can't possibly be a bad as NYEs when I was a kid. Andy Stewart spoke to any cunt who was Scottish. That was the thing back then,  NYE was seen as a Scottish thing so the tv entertainment was pretty much their shite. 

There are only so many times you can listen to him singing his big hit before wanting to brick the telly.

Yeah, Venue is on same side as Man & Scythe, but before where the BEN offices are/were.
