Pretty sure Bolty has had the same op and he is continuing to enjoy his footy.

I've got the same condition ( Bone growth on heel which overstretches the Achilles tendon) very painful whenever a "Sprint" is attempted

The injury ended my thriving footy "career" at 55yrs old :D but  by then i was just playing 5-a-side, so i couldn't be arsed having the operation.

By all accounts it's a painful op that requires quite a bit of recovery time.

Not sure why we extended his contract.

We've been much better with him in the team than without

this thread could be longer than Brexit

I know this is from 12/01/22, but I can’t say I’ve missed either of them.

Only when pitch is good, on bad pitches he’s been anonymous, let him dictate play and he’s decent at this level, my issue is his is fitness and whether an extension to his contract was justified given those issues.

We're talking on the other thread about this. He's not on his own regarding poor pitches.

Has it diseased your Achilles?

Not even had it looked at by a doc or specialist.

It doesn’t affect my day to day life & i walk 5 miles a day without any probs.

If i tried to run though, the achilles pain starts. No problem though because i hate running unless i have a ball at my feet.

Sounds like you can get by and make adjustments accordingly. I do think though that you maybe at more of a risk of rupturing your Achilles.

Have you ever suffered from this before?

It flared up towards the end of my football playing days about 7 or 8 years ago. Like i said, it doesn’t affect me because i have no pain walking or cycling and thats what keeps me reasonably fit these days.

Just trying to look out for you pal 🙂

I’ve provided a link which may give you further tips on managing this condition

Let’s hope that Lee is gonna come back from this injury and they are justified in their faith, they’re well in credit and not every call can come off. And quit the sarcasm you tit. 😘

Silver lining if he is out for the season is it gives the younger lads a chance to develop and get more game time. I’d be starting Sadlier in that role over Dempsey at the minute, or have Dapo in the pocket with Bodvarsson and Charles up top

Don’t think Ameechi has looked good enough to be honest in the games played.

He wasn't bought by Hamburg for the fee he was for no reason but I tend to agree.

I thought he had the speed of Fossey & the touch of a Doyle but no signs of that so far.

Obviously he had his injuries which stymied his start with us & we've bought beyond him now. But Evatt et. sees him every day, we must assume there's a player in there.
