I've got the same condition ( Bone growth on heel which overstretches the Achilles tendon) very painful whenever a "Sprint" is attempted The injury ended my thriving footy "career" at 55yrs old but by then i was just playing 5-a-side, so i couldn't be arsed having the operation. By all accounts it's a painful op that requires quite a bit of recovery time. Haglunds Deformity? Quote

It doesn’t affect my day to day life & i walk 5 miles a day without any probs. If i tried to run though, the achilles pain starts. No problem though because i hate running unless i have a ball at my feet. Quote

I do think though that you maybe at more of a risk of rupturing your Achilles. Have you ever suffered from this before? Quote

It flared up towards the end of my football playing days about 7 or 8 years ago. Like i said, it doesn’t affect me because i have no pain walking or cycling and thats what keeps me reasonably fit these days. Edited February 15, 2022 by Burndens Bogs Quote

Traf Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 I'd rather have Kieran Lee for 20 games a season than not have him at all. So, to me, he deserved his contract. Quote
Mantra Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Silver lining if he is out for the season is it gives the younger lads a chance to develop and get more game time. I’d be starting Sadlier in that role over Dempsey at the minute, or have Dapo in the pocket with Bodvarsson and Charles up top Quote

He wasn't bought by Hamburg for the fee he was for no reason but I tend to agree. I thought he had the speed of Fossey & the touch of a Doyle but no signs of that so far. Obviously he had his injuries which stymied his start with us & we've bought beyond him now. But Evatt et. sees him every day, we must assume there's a player in there. Quote
