  • I just want my lad to witness a promotion. Don't really care what happens or who plays for us after that. I definitely will in the future, but the absolute focus has to be to get out of this mind-numb

  • I disagree. His BWFC years were some of his greatest and happiest of his career. His latest SSN documentary piece highlighted this, as does countless footage of his wonder, his PFA nominatio

I must have misread it, I assumed DazBob meant that he'd be happy if MJ was out of the team for longer than 3 weeks, not injured for longer.

I'd also be happy if we didn't nned to call upon MJ for longer than 3 weeks, as it would mean that things were going well without him.

Can't say I'm a huge MJ fan to be honest, but he's been playing in discomfort because of a floater in his knee apparently.  But this is the nitty gritty part of the season and we need all hands on deck.

Santos is good news. JDB would be fantastic as a supersub in the playoffs if he makes it. Not sure if Iredale would get picked given our defensive record but he's a great utility sub. Whatever, it's nice to have a day with good news.

With Santos, Toal, Johnstone and Jones all fit for the first time in months, who would you pick as back 3 for weekend?

I'd leave Santos alone this weekend, save him for the playoffs, we need to  go in in with a full squad, if Iredale and JDB are back, it's looking fantastic.

Given that he's coming back from injury, I'd play him to get some match time into his legs as it's not a crucial match - but also to see how he holds up and fits back in. Problem would be if he's not great and Evatt is then faced with the dilemma of having to drop his captain for the playoffs - but I guess he's paid to make tough decisions.

If hes 100% or at least it appears so, start him and give him an hour

Hes our best player

Dont want him breaking down 5 mins into a play off so test him out now

Not bothered if hes good or bad, just give him a public fitness test

Well since Toal is also feeling his way back in why not give them a half each?

A shame for the lad. I think we currently have cover.

He was the cover

We've still our first choice back 5 but if one gets injured we're definitely worse off without Jones

Need to stop playing no mark teams

poor set ups and pub players going in

Yes injuries can happen anytime but let’s reduce the risk

Only good thing it’s happened with time left rather than say a week before the start

Says the duration of 23/24 season, thats a long time.

Wouldn't be surprised if those kind of games are scaled back from now on (if anything surprised it's not been already) Evatt's had a moan on more than one occasion in past pre-seasons about state of pitches and challenges.

Doesn't look like it was caused by a bad challenge. The Bamber Bridge player was moving away from him. Looks like he planted his foot awkwardly and his knee buckled underneath him.

Ropey pitch a factor?

Gutted for the lad, but really, we could do with reducing the risks that come with these games.
