Does anyone realistically think he'll play for us again?

Can't see him being in L1 next season personally.

Positives. He's obviously landed well here. Enjoyed the club, the fans & the football. Got game time which he's really never had before.

Negatives. He's a London based American. Truly looks like a Championship player. A lot of clubs will have noted his progress. Some could pay him considerably more than us, be more local and already be in the Championship. 

So, no. Sadly.

In a perverse way him being out for the season could be beneficial in us trying to bring him back again.

Or maybe his attributes haven't been noticed/appreciated and he's been played in the wrong style/position until he joined us? Whatever, it's a shame we won't see him for the rest of the season, and hope he's still with us come August.

Can't see it making any difference either way. As Evatt has said, it's nothing serious. Just keeps him out for the final run in.

I like him and a definite boost for us at this level. But can also why he has not made the team at Premier level. 

Bad news in the short term ( though it might give one or two of Isgrove, Senior, Ameachi or Sadlier a chance to show what they can do ) but longer term, it gives us a better chance of keeping Fossey......it takes him out of the spotlight while also increasing doubts about him being injury prone.

Agree 100% the injury makes it much more likely he’s a Wanderer next season.

Fulham have got a very similar player out on loan at Hibs in Sylvester Jasper who is younger than Fossey so they might want to keep him instead.  

I'd be surprised if he got a better club than us next season.  If he gets a championship club it will either be a Rotherham or Wigan standard or a squad player at an established club like Luton (upgrade on Kioso?).  He's above average league one but I'd need to be convinced he's championship standard.  Relies a lot on pace and when full backs have matched him he's struggled to make an impact, has to cut back because he doesn't have the tricks of Dapo for eg and not a stand out goalscorer.  Love watching him though and hopefully he's back in July.

Nobody is going to be interested in taking an injured Fossey on loan.

Wouldn’t mind betting he’ll be here next season.
