March 1, 20242 yr Any footballer really needs to keep off twitter more than anything - the balloons on there seem to compete to out dickhead each other. Go on a blocking spree and even more dickheads appear

March 1, 20242 yr Weird how so many other clubs embrace one of their own, yet so often local lads at Bolton find the complete opposite.

Aiden Davidson springs to mind. He was disliked for not being Keith Branagan! Thing is, he stared in some of our greatest cup upsets. Aidan.

March 1, 20242 yr Coleman has made a handful of top class saves since he’s been in the team, our recent results would have been worse without his contribution.

He's made a couple of errors coming out when he shouldn't have done - same as Trafford although in a shorter space of time. But his handling, shot stopping and kicking all seem absolutely fine to me. We may not see worldy saves but they are rarely needed in this league, Trafford hardly did any either. He saves most shots and hasn't made a howler has he? Unlike plenty of keepers in higher divisions. God if fans had been in when Crellin was here, or if Dixon had played a prolonged number of games, what would that have been like?

March 1, 20242 yr With our particular style of play all goalkeepers in the land get made to look shit from time to time. Ederson has some shockers for City and yon fella at Arsenal is even worse. Its the gamble you take when you play so deep, invite pressure and expect your players to not make any mistakes while 11 men try to take the ball off you in your own penalty area. The lads got a thankless task. Spent his whole life training to be a goalkeeper now hes being asked to play as a sweeper with 3rd division defenders trying to cruyff turn infront of him whislt passing him suicide balls.

March 2, 20242 yr The main issue for Coleman is he's automatically compared against Baxter, probably the best keeper in the league. He'll be be reet. The whole team just needs re tuning and tightening up like a trusty old fender.

We've had keepers better than L1 standard for 2 years now - which apparently was Evatts blind spot

We started 2 seasons running with non league standard keepers as No 1 choice. Followed by starting 2 seasons with keepers arguably championship standard - its sort of balanced itself out! Coleman probably the first time we've had a keeper playing at his true level (unless Gilks counts).
