It's cost us dearly so far this series.

Absolutely no excuse for a front foot no ball, at any level of the game.  Does my head in.

Controversial this no ball.

Tms said it was, whereas TV apparently saying some of the boot was behind line at point of impact.

A few umpiring decisions gone against us (fortunately well reviewed)- given that Australia has sacked off the commonwealth games, makes you wonder if money has gone elsewhere 😁

Looked to me that his heel was on the line, not behind it at all.

Anyway, it should never even be that close for it to be an issue.

Cummins doesn’t seem himself

Good position

Maybe, but bowlers do make the error, and always will. Humans after all.

A drop now.

Maybe the Lords members messed with his head.

Didn’t want to post about how well we were batting in case I jinxed a wicket, so I’ll post now Ali is out! 😂

Shame he looked good.

Like the approach, 7 an over this session without being kamikaze

Of course.  I probably make more than most, even at my shitty level.

Some errors can and always will happen, bowling wide, bowling too short or too full ... but there is no excuse for planting your foot over that line.  None at all.

Credit to Ali- got away with a couple of dodgy shots, but seems to have applied himself. Done what the team needed.

Crawley having a reasonable season.

Boooooo.  This batting is far too aggressive.

9th fastest test century by an England batsman

Fabulous knock by Crawley, had a bit of luck along the way but when you score a ton with a SR of over 100 then you're always going to need a bit.

I've not kept up, I presume, as usual, that @Horwichhas predicted that we'll get walloped 🙂

What do we do here with the weather. Bat to 5pm and have a bowl at them tonight?

Bat till 4.45 like this, get beyond their score, then start twatting every ball 😂

Twatting most balls already!

Looking to declare today?

He said we'd lose 0-5 ... then he said we'd not win another game.  We still might not win this test but it's clear, and has been for years, that he doesn't know much about cricket.

40 overs left, CRR 7, so could pass 500 by close

Great session - just depressing they're likely to get away with a draw and retain the Ashes despite us giving them by far the most 1 sided battering of the series.

Built on a steadier start. Moeen got a 50 in 80 odd balls, slowish by his approach.

Precisely what was required, see off the new ball whilst being positive but not reckless.

Against the best attack around, only losing one wicket to the new ball is excellent.

Foundations in, bricks now going up rapidly.

BD might have his initial prediction, though I hope we go on further before declaring.

Get some more quick runs whilst going well. Might not need to bat again then..

Aye, but not finished yet. If so, though, just a couple of indifferent sessions and mistakes.

Some knock from Crawley this, and to be fair to him it's felt like it's been coming.

Every time this series he's just looked like getting settled he's hung one out there, but kept his head screwed on through his 50 today and then not looked back. Really impressive, and I'm happy for him, hope it's the start of the sort of form he's threatened to put together before.

Need to turn the screw now though into the evening, big day tomorrow and feels like our only chance of getting a result.
