We had a decent thread a while back discussing Evatt’s philosophies and approach to the game (think it got tainted and pulled)

So not a bad time to start it up again at the beginning of the season.

In the main he’s done a fantastic job. A minority lost patience round about Xmas/New Year in both seasons. 

But surely now he has the large backing of the majority of fans and the brand he talked about implementing here is now well and truly established.

Good article above highlighting how he’s using Sport Science to get the squad performing to it’s optimum level.

A young, meticulous, intelligent and passionate individual, who we are very lucky to have leading our club.

I hope he gets what he deserves with promotion to the Championship.

Was giving this some more thought last night.

Yes it will be embarrassing for the club, and they may choose to take some sort of action. 

However, it is totally different behaviour to those abusive fans that the club talked about in the statement. 

A stupid, naive thing to do, but between 2 consenting adults and no abuse involved (as far as we know).

As mentioned earlier in the thread, whoever released the video is the one with a question mark over their behaviour. 

As for the future, we'll Evatt is just going to have to accept the stick he's going to get from opposition fans if he is to continue his career. 

In time it will dissipate, as it did previously.

Only thing I thought that might cause SB and IE an issue was that it didn't come across like a consensual thing, seemed more to me like an unsolicited thing he'd sent to a local (then) female journalist.

No doubt he'll have cleared that up though and laid off a few quid on any possible negative outcomes.

I've still got one of them beach balls unused (and took one to, was it, Guimaraes?).. Pus two blue and white scarves that the club gave out for the Sporting away game, still in packaging. The other one I used I chucked to a Sporting supporter at the end as they fucked off applauding - expected to get summat back. Tight fisted Portuguese cunt just fucked off with it, with nothing in return. I know it was free, but have some decorum. Still got a Rabotnicki shirt I picked up over there, but can't for the life of me remember how I got it. Good trip though 😀

I’ll be in the Happy Duck this weekend.

It will be interesting to see if anyone there remembers us after nearly 20 years.

I think I have lost my beach ball, but still have a scarf or two from that Euro run. Indeed, it was the Guimaraes trip where we got them.

I met you, Leigh white, Burnden (?) and Zozzy near Loughborough, for a flight to Portugal from Luton. Ex-Midland white too? A baptism of fire for meeting folk off Wways…

I brought George a Marca newspaper from the day of the game (without rusty staples) from the Madrid away game.
