  • My lad took this 💙 COYWM

  • Evatt makes mistakes, usually when he opens his gob, but by fuck he’s a quick learner. Last season, we lose that game and probably only have 10 men on the pitch at the end. But he’s graduall

  • I know that is why I said 'I know this is a thread about the home game but'

Talking about Plymouth.   How the fook are they 3rd.    Yes they beat us on what was our worst performance of the season but fookinel they were shite.   One of the worst we will see all season apart from mk Dons

I’m actually now taking this as a positive.

If a side that sits third is a side that we looked better against away from home, but we were guilty of not taking chances/silly mistakes- you address that (which we have…. to an extent…) so that next time we come against a playoff/promotion rival we learn and get what we deserve - which arguably we did against a Peterborough

FWIW IMO Plymouth are a rival for a play-off spot - but not for the title. Happy for @green genie to offer a different angle seeing them every week.

We outplayed them with a poor team selection…still can’t get my head round leaving out MJ & playing Lee.

Plymouth won’t finish in top 6 imo

All part of the learning process, which includes Evatt.

Must admit - a midfield without MJ away from home against a better team, might not be something we see on a regular basis.

In his defence he was (and perhaps still is) searching for an MJ replacement and/or different midfield set-ups without him.

He’s landed on Thomason since then and stuck with him. We might see if Thomason works without MJ soon

Possibly Tuesday - good games to to experiment with.

Maybe the selection was the reason we outplayed them?

Individual errors can't be legislated for.

Out footballing team isn’t the goal,  winning is.

Maybe we'd have suffered a heavier defeat if MJ had played, who knows? There's already been a few team selections this season that have had certain people scratching their heads - yet we've gone on to win. Trust the manager.

But thank you anyway mate.  Notice Bradley giving their fans the 'shush' after the goal.

Said after the game we were lucky to beat you and only time this season been second best.

Think we'll be around 6-8th come the shake up, depending on injuries to key players and recalls for loanees

Think a lot of folk look at other teams and think they are a shit and we havent hit top form but in reality its just division 3 football and all a bit pants anyway :)

Long live the Williams and Thomason partnership in midfield. Nice and solid.

Still early days yet but the leagues already starting to look as expected before it kicked off other than Charlton, MK and Oxford who were fancied. Barring injuries I don’t see any way we won’t be in the top 6 but unless our strikers start firing soon the top 2 may be beyond us.

I loved being back in for the game, thanks to the club for allowing me to be front and central

No news as yet, but we walked from Walkden in memory of a mate- the club allowed me in for the game. Knees and glutes done now though

When will people realise when fit enough to compete Lee will be the first name on the team sheet. That’s all you need to get ya head around. Please don’t ever compare the worth of MJ over Lee.

Not even the same position.

Not comparing the two, both do a great job however pick horses for courses and Plymouth was a MJ over Lee.

Fwiw, we lost at plymouth cos lee missed a sitter, bakayoko should have scored, santos and johnston fucked up and trafford didnt cover himself with glory when we were wide open

A meltdown followed, despite the plymouth fan saying calm the fuck down

Fitness permitting Lee starts most weeks

Evatt is better at putting cones out, too

Seems Evatt got his head round picking right player for the right game now. Let’s hope he continues selecting correct player for the correct game. I’ll forgive him though he’s only human.

Plymouth fans after the game said they’d be surprised with a top 6 finish

think it was Morley who missed a good chance first half

Maybe as well

Lee missed the side footer from 8 yards
