  • We’re still 6th and having just checked, no teams have been promoted today. The amount of flapping going on is fucking hilarious and pathetic

  • The boss man needs to go back to when he had things right… and why that was happening. What has changed so much since we whupped Wycombe 3-0 in the sunshine and everyone had a huge grin on their faces

10/12 points from the next 4 games and the this will be but a grubby memory.

As an aside, if folk trudge up and down the M6 to watch us huff and puff against bumpkins and yoghurt knitters, they’re entitled to boo the team off.

Evatt needs to learn a little more diplomacy.

"It's great that the supporters backed us. They all came here in their numbers and stayed patient with us because we're on a journey here and we're hoping that we can keep improving.

"We know we've not been at our best these last two games but we're going to work really hard to try and put it right.

I'll admit, I had a go at the players at half time.

Evatt - be positive, stay with us.

2nd half - poor again. Could have nicked a point but still shit.

Didn't think it would get lower than losing to Fleetwood and Accrington in 4 days.

It just has

Got to be careful we don’t whip up some drama where there is none.

Did he not go over and shush the fans?

Told us to be positive. Would be good if his players had heeded his message.

Too many way below par again

I have just read somewhere that IE isn’t happy with fans booing. Well sorry Ian but if your team is going to turn out performances like the last 2 then the fans have every right to voice their opinion.

Fucking hell if evatt didn’t like that good job he wasn’t about when Phil neal was manager . Any way sometimes the players need  telling or are they all to soft these days . wasn’t it evatt who told the keeper the other year to man up

We're shite away from home

No goals from open play

That performance v Wycombe a distant memory

Still top six like

But not finishing teams off at home

And not creating anything away

Squad rotation is fine if you're winning

Big turnaround required for top two

Good performance required next week to stay top six

At home, on our wide, well-looked after pitch and with the support behind us we're doing fine but when we don't have that going for us we're abysmal.

We've played six matches away from home, won one and scored just three goals - two penalties and a free-kick.

Not good enough.

Certainly not good enough for where we want to be. Maybe it's just where we actually are.

That was absolutely cack. Long week.

Oh, of course. I was basing it on the aim of getting promoted, which I assume is what Evatt's targeting.

I still think we can do better than we are away from home, though.

Terrible week for those putting the mikes in, it’s been woeful not flapping just very disappointing

You know what will rub it in, bet they announce new date for Pompey away in next few days 🤣

Wank week pal

see you at Portsmouth😀

A defeat in isolation is absolutely fine but to come out with no points against these too is utter bollocks.

Shocking first half and second half wasn’t a good enough response.

11 points off Plymouth tells me already we aren’t gonna catch them unless they go off the boil.

Be surprised if we finish top 10 with these lot. Been the last two games and we are bobbins

2 mins 25 seconds in he says they were rightly booed off at HT.

Shite first half.   2nd half better.    Same old story of being poor at small shit grounds where we cant play football like we do at the Reebok.     Saying this,  Charles had 3 strikers chances today that I would expect him to score at least 2.  That header !!!    Wtf,    rate the lad and he works hard but he has to be putting these away

You never know, we might even score a goal!

Can’t use the shitty little grounds as an excuse. Only way to stop playing at these places and isn’t what they did today.

You can’t have 4 great chances and not take them. Poor finishing

Kachunga is turd

however Charles has missed some chances

First half absolutely not acceptable in any way, shape or form.

Too much going back and sideways, no movement and not enough tempo.

they closed us down quickly but weren’t great.  For their goal, the left sided player, with stupid orange boots, drifted all the way into the centre unchallenged, knocked it out wide, winger goes forward - unopposed, squares it in for the striker - unopposed, to side foot in.

second half created 3 good chances - Charles free header, Charles 1v1 and sadlier free shot at the end.

Again, big teams with promotion aspirations, find a way to win or at worst not lose.

expected 4 points this week and got nothing.

2 easier away games, 2 good followings and to put no finer point on it - unacceptable.

Rant over

Oh yes and why are our corners and free kicks just so shite ?

We need Motley & Dempsey back in the middle for a start, fuck knows what they did wrong

I like both players but that sounds like they've only performed in one game together.  They both started against Sheff Wed, Plymouth, Port Vale and Morecambe and we looked toothless, scoring 1 goal in 4 games.  They were dropped v Charlton and we looked really good, same at MK Dons.  For all Dempsey's qualities, he's similar to Bradley in a lack of quality with the final ball, crossing and shooting below average.  At the end of the day we need people that can score because most other things are in place, we just lack that cutting edge.
