  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

The story of the police's actions in the arrest of the boy stabbed to death in Southampton is horrifying

That they've relessed a statement effectively saying "sorry about that, but he'd have died anyway" is insane

Not sure this is the judges’ fault. The jurors failed to reach a verdict. Twice. So we need to blame Liverpudlians like @Big E.

One of them was convicted of assaulting two female police officers, so you can blame the judge if you’re not happy with the sentence he dishes out for that.

Aye

It was the CPS that called it a day after two juries failed to reach a decision

How many trails do you need before the public get the verdict they want?

Aye they were kids jumping in lakes and rivers with their mates thinking it's cool and the water will be warm.

Can't tell you how many times I've spoke to my two boys about this.

One 15 and one nearly 12, they are prime to think it'd be good to jump in the sea or whatever.

This time of year the waters been freezing all winter. A bit of sun for 3 days isn't warming that up. Cold water shock is the main killer.

I must remind them twice a day every day, especially now they often go off kicking about with their pals.

Must see the coastguard out currently 4-5 times a day.

Scares me to death it really does.

Same here. It's fucking terrifying, especially knowing all the stupid shit I did at that age and luckily got away with.

Same people cracking jokes about these tragedies will be the ones that also cry kids are "wrapped in cotton wool these days" and spend too much time indoors on their games consoles.

Cold water shock is a real danger, especially in deep waters like reservoirs. I am really surprised at the numbers over the last week as warnings are everywhere now and I'd hoped kids would listen.

Kids do listen, but bravado and peer pressure mean it's all thrown out of the window in the spare of the moment. I'm sure we all did really stupid, dangerous shit in our youth/teen years. In hindsight, it's almost a miracle that we're still around to have these conversations.

Still, let's all have a laugh that todays kids can't swim, and pretend drowning tragedies never happened in 'the good old days'.

Tie a rope around their waists, throw them in the lake and then hoist them out after 10 minutes.
They'll not want to go in again unaided.

I'd wager there are a few more than that when people dig deeper, the system's broke which has led to a large influx of foreign migrants.

All blamed on asylum seekers mind..

Increase in turkey transplants?

a new vape shop, and another new Turkish barber opened in our local town this week. I think I make that 7 Turkish Barbers and 5 vape/gadget shops now in our small town now. Good to see the units aren't being left empty though I suppose.

There are also 4 nail bars, naturally.

Councils don't want empty units in town centres, so don't ask any questions. As long as they pay their rates/rent, nobody cares what's going on

Down Burrs when I was a kid seemed like every year someone would come a cropper jumping into the river off the bridge.
