I don't think Male couples should be adopting babies as I think babies need that maternal motherly instinct only biological females can provide. That caring motherly nature cannot be replaced or replicated by a male imo.

don't get me wrong, my youngest has had males look after her at nursery, which didn't feel right at first but they've been great

I don't think it's fair to say bummers shouldn't get to adopt though, as though they are more likely to abuse kids

Anything from primary school is OK for me.

No way a bloke should be working a pre-school nursery.

I see nothing wrong with anyone taking on a job they want or are capable of doing. If there is any evidence that a group can not do the job adequately or are a danger to the kids then that changes. Why should nt a bloke work with pre school kids ? Never seen anything that says they are more likely to do anything wrong.

Also nothing wrong with same sex adoptions. Loads of research to show kids are treated just as well and the kids end up as good as other kids that are adopted.

I'll tell you where. Where the evidence tells us the regular offenders are. Not difficult. There's been a spate of horrendous crimes in Oz at child care facilities. Always males and always ones who had passed all the checks, sometimes surreptitiously.
