All that is needed is for the police to nip off for a coffee and a donut. Looking at some of those blokes milling around, I feel sure the road would become clear very quickly. Utter cunts and I hope they are all charged and convicted for obstructing a public highway.

There's a legal judgement (DPP v. Ziegler) which potentially means their actions are lawful. Only potentially though as certain tests have to be met.

For me, they should be arrested and charged so that can be tested in a court of law.

I agree mate but, when you say 'we', I suspect that would be somewhere south of the 50% mark of the population in these particular instances. I feel sure the majority understand why there is a law about obstructing public highways and why it needs to be enforced (No doubt the BBC would be there to paint the 'nazi' picture however).

The fact is that the police should have gone in hard at the very first one so these fucking halfwits (fuck all to do and all day to do it in) would think long and hard before trying the stunt again.

There's a massive difference between coppers having the right to remove wallys causing the public greif and unrest and some the thugs with batons you see on the continent.

Well apparently my lot had over a decade to sort this, they should be properly funded and have more police on the streets. Brilliant, instead of 4 or 5 stood there doing fuck all we could have 15/20. Makes perfect sense.
