I agree mate but, when you say 'we', I suspect that would be somewhere south of the 50% mark of the population in these particular instances. I feel sure the majority understand why there is a law about obstructing public highways and why it needs to be enforced (No doubt the BBC would be there to paint the 'nazi' picture however).

The fact is that the police should have gone in hard at the very first one so these fucking halfwits (fuck all to do and all day to do it in) would think long and hard before trying the stunt again.

Softarse policing will only see these incidents become more and more commonplace. Boris was right - water cannon. Personally I would go for cattle prods as the follow up once the fuckers were wet.

Well apparently my lot had over a decade to sort this, they should be properly funded and have more police on the streets. Brilliant, instead of 4 or 5 stood there doing fuck all we could have 15/20. Makes perfect sense.

  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

There's a massive difference between coppers having the right to remove wallys causing the public greif and unrest and some the thugs with batons you see on the continent.

Watching that Chinese lad get absolutely twatted in that embassy the other day wasnt nice viewing.

No, off the consulate security staff, I think.

Right London Wanderer. Will you try to justify this?

Incineration  would be too kind IMO but then again, it might add to ozone layer depletion.

Do these fuckwits not realise that this man contributed to the freedom they enjoy to pull these obnoxious strokes.

I don't think anyone (irrespective of their political or social leanings) on here would try to argue that she was within her rights to do what she did.

Some might argue that she was leniently treated by not getting a custodial sentence, but surely you're not suggesting she should have any form of pain inflicted upon her for what she did?

This reminds me it's almost time for Poppy watch!

One of my favourite times of year for hard remembrancing.

She's a fucking idiot mate - you'll probably find it pisses me off as much as it does you. What do you want me to say? I'm not a politician - why am I being asked to condemn every protester that behaves like an idiot.

I'll be honest though, I'm more worried that only a handful of media sources are headlining with the latest UN climate reports claiming we're close to the tipping points and have no credible road to stay below 1.5 degrees.

Any poor folk that have read the science around tipping points will know it basically means that most people under 30 will be lucky if they make it past the next few decades. That will be labelled by some as an extreme view; but there's plenty research that show humans have very little chance once we hit 2 degrees and accelerate from one tipping point to another. We could hit 2 degrees as soon as 2030.

In the meantime, that will mean more and more folk acting like numpties in the road. That's not me justifying it - I doubt it will achieve anything - but when the science says there's no future, then people act in strange ways.

At the end of the first sentence I had reached a 'fair play' point so nothing else to say really.

I asked for your comment as the Just Stop Oil nutjobs are a subsidiary organ of your lot - XR.

and nothing says shit more than typos

I don't particularly like yoghurt or knitting but white poppies are a good way of paying your respects to everyone who has suffered in war.  It's a little resistance to the red poppy fascism and jingoism that thrives this time of year.

Agree on the typo though. Amateur stuff.

Us vs everyone else who doesn't agree with us.

Careful now, you might be walking down the street and get shouted out from an aussie in an SUV.

Shocking I know, but they use these deadly tactics.

Agreed. Except the more people in the road. There'll be fewer available and what there are may be busy catching precious rain water or fighting the increasing migrant levels at borders with shitty sticks picked from dried out trees.

The climate issue is very real now, and although here in Britain we could do more, much of the world is way behind.

Makes it all the more economically difficult if others won't go through the pain of transition.

Admit it FFS. If not a fully paid up member then certainly a tacit supporter.
