Which surprised me, as I thought it might be a bit rank Some of them are, but a well done one with a proper cheese & mustard sauce is brilliant Quote

With the High School at the bottom we always walked down Smithills Dean , seemed safer than going through the High School 😂. Think it was better school back then. Shitty comp for my time - but that's why I'm proper nails. Quote

royal white Posted October 25 Author Posted October 25 It’s all going off on the little Hulton community Facebook page. For decades the locals have collected wood for Bommy (which weirdos call it Bonny) night and never once has their been a problem, this year the local Karen has complained and the council removed all the wood within 24hrs. Obviously now there’s an appeal for everyone and anyone who has any wood to take it there next weekend probably resulting in the biggest fire they’ve had. (incoming comments stating a fire can only improve LH) Quote

His parents moved from Farnworth as his mum taught English at Harper Green (my Dad used to teach Science there) so she didn't want him going there and he hated it - and moving from Farnworth to Smithills. Schoolmate of my brother. He went to Smithills Grammar 81-86. Quote

No organised activities and holiday parades and the economy kept moving on. I did see a group of youngsters kicking a ball on the rec last night so maybe they're not all spoiled brats Yep. If the family weren't off to the seaside, this was school holidays in a nutshell. Quote

I really like Hull, got one of the best galleries in the country as well. Quote
