  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

Awful innit

Not sure how we hide the name either way though, the media should be legally obliged to, but these things always find a way of coming out. A shooting like this will always need an independent investigation that is available to the public, though you have to ask if they really needed a trial to prove he acted in defence of his colleagues.

He'll be relieved but also also beyond worried for himself and his family. We've got to protect them better.

No wonder cops are handing their guns back in and choosing to be simply unarmed officers - that's if they don't leave the force altogether.

The tail wagging the dog yet again.

These particular gangs are looking for a two tier policing situation where they can get away with far more than anyone else using the morbid fear of authorities being labelled with the 'r' word yet again. Shades of Rotherham, Rochdale and countless others where it seems that it no longer should be justice for all but a different kind of justice for different skin colours where evil whiteys are bottom of the league in terms of any kind of 'benefit'. I'd be surprised if many of these activists from the older end weren't out on the street marching against apartheid. Now it seems they want a different form of it - one which would favour them.

Heard that a while back, the top mon at the CPS expressed his support for BLM.

Folk can have their views, but if true, then how did they stay in the job?

Like the judiciary, they must apply the rules without grace and favour.

Stinks.

Wow, I knew Freddos and Twix had got expensive, but 10k for a Bounty is mad.

Maybe it was 10kg. That's a lotta confectionery to balance.

Been shopping round for Halloween sweets for trick and treaters - any value to be found? I think Tesco are doing the cheapest reange - even better than poundland.

Halloween? I'm all set...

Fortunately, there is a "no trick or treat" policy in our village, unless your house is decorated accordingly. So we never get anybody round, thank fuck

Russki Shite 🙂

Love all the grumps around Halloween. I like it, nice for the kids and we properly decorate the house - already got the pumpkins, candles, decorations etc up inside

Last night got the pumpkins for outside and everything else outside goes up on Saturday - the three boxes of decorations have already come down from the loft.

Also it's from Samhain so it's not originally from America - if anything if you've got Scottish or Irish roots you are reclaiming it back, and trick or treating has its roots in Medieval Britain in things called Souling or Guising.

Why is it miserable?

The lady who lives 2 doors down is about 90, should she have her bell rung every 10 minutes by scrotey kids on the scrounge for sweets?

I think the idea that if you're happy to have people/scrotes knock on, then you have a pumpkin or other form of decoration outside, if there's nothing, then you leave it alone. It seems to work well enough

Yes and if she doesn’t like it they can visit her in the small hours and put a bat up her nightdress

Where's this scrotes thing come from? The local primary school seems to do it here with various adults taking them round (same as the last place) never had anyone older than say 10 knock on and trick or treat - I suspect it'll be the same in this village.

The real ner'dowells are already setting off fireworks by halloween, not going round trying to get a funbag of Skittles.

fair enough, maybe labelling them all scrotes is a bit off :)

Certainly, if adults are accompanying them, then they should be steering them to the houses that they know will be welcoming. For what it's worth, Mrs Sweep think's it's fun, and will be going out with our friends kids trapsing round the village.

Out of interest, what happens these days if somebody says "trick" or does than not actually happen?

Yeah that’s perfect. We didn’t realise this and got loads of sweets in ended up with no folk knocking on.

we have been away for the last 2 years so missed it via that.

the dog walker decorates her house and answers the door in fancy dress. Think that’s ace for the local kids.

we used to tell people in our apartment block they could bring their kids for some sweets on Halloween as well. They also had something in the cafe underneath which made it fun for them.

fireworks however. They can cunt off. Every night ridiculous fucking display style shit for about 3 weeks now

I let the little scrotes in my village know beforehand I'm a Druidic wizard looking for child sacrifices to offer up to the Dragon of Samhain.

Seems to work for me... that and the roll of razor wire across my drive and my oversized bull terrier

I'm not sure what a bunch of 6 years olds would do as a trick. But yeah its never happened so far.

Looking forward to getting the house all sorted this year as we've to a long ish drive now and a large grass verge for all the tombstones/skeleton hands coming out of the ground (the real trick is to get some compost and put it round the bottom so it looks lie they are popping out of the earth properly.)

Anyway, love it - got my skull jacket and day of the dead T-shirt out of storage. Facepaint bought for usual Crow style make up and then usually do the whole 'Woooo! What scary witches/ghouls you all are' routine for the little ones.

And as ever - the usual NiC playlist....(I know, I'm a proper sad sack 😊)

Nipped into Lincoln for a haircut at dinner time... Pavements and street were chocka with people standing waiting around.

"Whats to do?" I asked the barber... "bloody Halloween parade, I get no trade on days like these, you'll see some wierdos come past shortly"... I didn't think Halloween was until next week, never mind some sort of mardi gras procession! At least I didn't have to wait for a haircut.

THEN... i went down to the car locksmith in town... sign outside "during the holiday period we are closed in the afternoons". Holiday? Am I missing something?

Does anyone want to work in this country anymore? No wonder production is flat-lining, our working-age population are all too busy over-indulging their obese spoilt little brats looking for any excuse to toss it off.
