Still, some lovely people amongst them. Buy their mothers flowers and stuff. We should throw open the doors and invite as many over as would like to come

An astonishing story that is. And the scrote who crashed into the woman- 22 fucking months! That is an absolute joke. 22 years would be fair.
November 27, 20241 yr Depressing reading some of these cases. Absolute scumbags who ruin lives. I’d throw the key away for all of them.

After seeing this he should never be allowed to drive again
November 27, 20241 yr Yep. Banned for life. What are these judges thinking, and where is parliament when sentences should clearly be strengthened? As for being released- we have blokes on indeterminate sentences for doing very little- a disgrace to a civilised society- meanwhile a terrorist who trained a killer goes free. Really wonder if it's time for specific state executions. Or do we wait until another child is lost?

That 19 year old who caused that accident imho should have a far longer sentence. But I know people who would argue the opposite, that he’s 19 and stupid and deserves a chance. For me though that’s much worse through the sheer stupidity of it and the horrific outcome.

There us a classification of sentence that was introduced under Tony Blair, and there are folk still incarcerated for quite minor indiscretions. Check it out, it is a stain on our legal system; mps in agreement, but still nothing gets done.

I've had this opinion for a while and have posted similar. Everyone starts out with 80 years of oxygen credits and are debited or have extra credits awarded according to the offences... if you kill a person with 50 years left you are debited 50 years on top of the (say) your 30 years left in credit . If you are an immigrant you have to agree to how many credits you are awarded on admission to our country. An Artificial Intelligence system replaces the overloaded Courts and when your balance goes into debit to a certain amount you have a plastic bag placed over your head as you can no longer have any more oxygen.

Sorry pal. You really do need to update your thinking. Shouting 'Who the fuck is Allah?' is not very little. Up there with GBH, driving without due care and attention causing life changing injury, paedophilia, grooming, violent mistreatment of animals and a whole raft of other crimes. Thank fuck the shouters are behind bars. Cultural insensitivity must never be tolerated. Just ask a few on here.

But whilst I think indeterminate sentencing was and is completely wrong I don’t think there are many if any under IPP for (at least initially) minor indiscretions. Though my point was that people have different definitions for that.
