I agree - although I suppose it's difficult for the judge to convict for anything other than manslaughter because it's unlikely there was an intent to kill. 

That said - I've just looked it up and apparently most manslaughter cases receive anything between 2-16 years. With anything between 4 and 19 years for rape. 

So presumably whoever was sentencing could have opted for anything up to 35 years. Which makes this sentence look like an absolute joke! 

 He's clearly a danger and should never see daylight again. Just give the cunt the bullet.

I think the sentences would run concurrently, so the range would be 4-19.

These roads in and out of town are horrendous.

Bloody tragic. I come through those lights quite regularly - and half the time the filter isn't working properly. I'd bet food money the same thing has happened here.

Sorry, I got my wires crossed. I thought it was the road if you follow Belmont Rd up out of town. Been some temporary lights there for a while and the filter quite often fails and leaves all the lights on red!
