That makes it ok then... Have you not wondered why this stuff is suddenly in the headlines again? There have been multiple inquiries, one of which was National and took 7 years. None of the recommendations of that inquiry were implemented by the previous Government... The current Government ARE trying to implement them, yet they're suddenly to blame for it all? It's absolute fucking nonsense being whipped up by Musk etc., and it's sad to see you falling for it.

From turning a blind eye, sweeping it under the carpet and failure investigate fully.

Those girls were let down big style by everyone involved.

I'm sceptical about the effectiveness of any new inquiry, but I can see why it's becoming such a hot topic.

I'm not sure how many new "lessons" there maybe to be learned, but if it was done properly, with the requisite specific and deep examination, then it may yield a bit more about who exactly was involved in improperly pursuing the perpetrators, and why.

Maggie Oliver has said she'd like to see one, and a victim, interviewed anonymously today, also said she wanted one.

Why wasn't Musk tweeting about this a year ago, or 3 years ago? Why didn't the currently "outraged" opposition do anything about it when they were in power? What happened that made you start posting about it again?

I think the fact is it was investigated fully. It's now time for implementation, which wasn't done under the previous government but now action is being taken rather than another investigation to cover the same ground (which even Johnson said was a waste of time and money) and the same people who didn't act when they were in government are trying to call out MPs who are actually now doing something.

It's the worst and lowest form of political gameplaying to whip up personal support in certain quarters and it stinks.
