The sentence for the tree fellers seems about right to me.  I'd have been disappointed if they'd been spared jail.

The ECHR needs reforming as many commentators attest to.

It won't be, and we don't do what others do when they disagree with a ruling.

Therefore leaving seems the only option.

Your Brexit/Migrant comment is the same as ever, as used as ever.

Change it to post covid and you're getting there.

The threshold for entry was reduced to allow people in to replace many European workers who had gone home during the pandemic.

Unfortunately, they brought dependents in (as they would) and the threshold wasn't put back up soon enough.

Then Hong Kong too, which was fulfilling our requirements to those from the former British Dependent Territory.

As soon as the threshold went back up, the numbers started to drop.

The inability and lack of will to tackle the illegal migrant situation is what is costing the main parties, and will do so at the next election.

How have reform said they’ll stop the boats?

Or have they just said “well stop the boats” and (correctly) assumed that that’s good enough for their supporters?

I want the bots to stop, but I want to see a plan that’s feasible. Shooting at them from navy ships isn’t one of those options.

Jesus this is hard.

You said Reform deny the climate  Crisis, yes that right and I said “when have they not denied it?” Their popularity is growing even though they’re denying it.

I said they would probably get in in 4 years but you don’t think they will because of an 18 year old and their CC denial.

You didn’t say you agreed in the first question. Which is why I asked.

Ive said their approach on the climate & using teenagers in office might change people’s minds.

Never said they couldn’t do it. They’ve a good chance

It’s 4 years to the next election. They say a week is a long time in politics. The last year has seemed like a lifetime for Labour. It won’t get better. (IMO) I don’t think the economy will improve with the current Chancellor. She really is out of her depth.
Lots of things could change in the next four years. New Tory leader? New Labour leader? New Chancellor?

It isn't beyond the possibility of all 3, in fact I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Exactly- as I said before, it's not the primary concern among so many.

Now we have this Afghan revelation.

Reportedly, the leak was by a Royal Marine though- can you have a word please? 😁

Already answered previously.

Keep asking the question won't change their ideas.

Take it or leave it, I don't care.

If you want them to tell you in person, then write to them and ask.

I’ve said when have they never not  denied it! It couldn’t be more simple. And you seem to think they will lose support because of this……when every poll shows they’re not.

Beautifully constructed point.

And utter nonsense.

It hasn’t been answered at all.

Thats just a lie.

Are there any fact and figures as to how many are coming over here compared with France, Italy, Spain, Greece, etc, etc?

As this is an international problem, why do folk in Britain think we should be immune from it?

I think the fact we are an island, an island that is clearly straining with its current population, an island that is relatively small compared to Country’s yet taking in more.

Yes I agree that is folks reasoning but it doesn't stack up with the fact that we take in far less than most of our neighbouring countries.

It also ignores the fact that the people on these boats make up a very small percentage of immigration.

So the actual problem people seem to have is legal migration our government has allowed for many years.

Haha

Add an ‘utter’ before it & that makes it better constructed 😄

can you imagine Reform rewriting our human rights law. Be an absolute disaster.

We don’t need to leave to be tougher

hah, was just going to post that in a Frank Carson 1980 style.

"Paddy and Seamus walking along the golf course. "Fore" they hear. "Keep your head down Paddy says Seamus. There's three more coming" "Irish fella goes into Kwikfit and asks "could I have one of them Mulliken Tyres". "hah hah hah, it's the way I tell them!". Etc etc etc

We were 5th in the table with the number of asylum seekers arriving n 2024.

My point was if they continue doing insanely daft things whilst in charge of local councils they might lose support. It’s not that hard to imagine

If we jailed everyone for cutting trees down then we’d have serious problems with prison overcrowding

Like denying climate change which has seen their ratings rise 🤦🏻

What evidence shows their climate denial has increased their ratings?
