Would love to track down Jack Deardens bit at the end of that Derby game when we went down. It was fantastic listening albeit in dreadful circumstances.

That Derby stelios smash and grab was ace

Dull as fuck. Absolutely fucking freezing

90th min jussi boot up to the smallest man on the pitch to grab the winner.

I'll never not love it

Think that’s the last time saw us win down there.

We've only won there once since then? A 2-0 in the early 80s with the green away shirt  🤔

Pretty good chance I’d of been there early 80s but can’t remember it.

I was there in 76 for LC QF. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the corrugated sheets forming a tunnel through what I assume was an area of slum clearance.

Didn't we win there in the league cup, late 90s?

Seem to recall Johansen scoring from about 30 yards

Get into these twats

The only time I saw us play in that, we won at Blackburn with 2 goals from Tomo (not Peter, Alan, Steve or George, this was Chris).  I had a green, blue and white bar scarf at the time that I wore to most matches for a season or 2.

That's the badger!

Sept 23rd 1981. Our first win of the season after starting with 4 losses. 2-0 Chris Thompson & Big Mad Gerry with the goals in front of 12,066

I have my cataract surgery on Sunday, and don't intend to take any undue risks for a few days afterwards, so if anyone wants my ticket, just pm me.

WSL.

As we walked through that 'ginnel' they dropped bricks on us, we were in the paddock next to their end and there were quite a few skirmishes that night

Yep - went to that, not much else to shout about in all my other visits

Yep I was there. Watched the manure Everton game on the way home if memory serves me right. Hated losing to them scouse gets in the semi

Will this be our 2nd highest attendance in this division/level?

When Brown was caretaker before Sam rocked up.

Supposedly only 4k tickets left for this

How the hell did you watch a game on the way home? This was 20+ years before mobile TVs.

As an aside, the first hand-held telly I ever saw was on the special train back from Southampton in THAT FA Cup game. It was where we saw just what a howler Felgate made.

Stopped off at a pub?

It looks like these threads are being taken over by BWFC sporting memories group. I  can't join in i can't remember anything.😜

Superb display by Reidy and co. but a bit hairy after full time. Managed to get to the Hatton Arms afterwards.

Big pub on lights where A50 turns towards Burton. Place rammed with exuberant Whites. Watched the highlights

show accompanied by Wemberlee singing. Slight downside was that I had parked in a side street near the ground

and received a ticket for parking within 45ft of a road junction!

We stopped in the pub; might have been highlights
