You can have a blue tick for $8 a month (or £8 in English money).

Cant decide if he’s just bored, taking the piss or trying to destroy it.

But the blue tick is a weird one. He’s trying to stop folk impersonating the famous, whilst simultaneously allowing everyone to do just that.

The algorithm has no idea what to show me.

It’s a mixture of football, NFL, death metal, adverts for heat pumps and a smattering of gammons arguing with just stop oil nuggets.

All I know for sure is that by next Easter, Trump and Musk will have changed the world for the better. No wars, endless money and South Americans kicked face first into the propellers of deportation planes.

honestly can’t wait.

He’s really got it in for the current government.

Interesting poll that Martin Lewis did yesterday. For me, it shows that X has a pretty even spread across the political spectrum. (With a much larger population) Bluesky however, 2/3 left leaning. Basically an echo chamber for the left.

The more relevant issue with Twitter is WTF am I getting far right content on my Twitter news feed. Elon's algorithms working overtime.

The only politics account I follow is Rest is Politics so if anything it should be centre left/right content.

To be honest, I don’t get anything other than what I follow but that’s probably because I stick to the ‘following’ feed. I do follow a balanced selection of posters imo though. I follow Labour and Tory politicians. I follow a number of European news sites as well as UK. I don’t follow any American. I mentioned previously that I never see anything about Tommy Robinson on my twitter, only on here. Owen Jones pops up though but that’s because he is a columnist for The Guardian who unfortunately left to join Bluesky. 
I’m guessing the algorithms kick in on the Trends section though but it’s never seemed odd to me.

I’m not a Trump or Musk fan at all by the way. 

It's also important how the algorithm affects topics searched/hashtags clicked

Never got involved in social media. An unnecessary evil for my money.

Still, to show support for Elon, might have to reconsider?

 

I only check the trends when I’m bored. I have enough content to read on the ones I follow. I’ve just checked for research and both Rachel Reeves and Matt Hancock are trending. Reading some of the posts, none are complimentary. I suppose that represents my ‘balance’ 😊
