If It Does Go Pear Shaped On Sunday
Mostly the away games already mentioned. 3 others to add, the Blackburn 3-4 and the stoke 2nd half come back. The villa win this season will be up there especially if its significant in us staying up Home I would add the west ham and Boro wins when we avoided relegation and the muamba tribute v BLackburn was pretty special

Is It Just My Kids?
I will leave the house on a week day about half 6, generally with all 3 of them fast asleep, yet come Saturday morning, they are jumping all over you before half 6!

From Tonights London Evening Standard - I?M Sorry Qpr Fans, But Country Is Behind Bolton In Premier League Survival Race
THis sympathy means nothing, think I preferred it when the whole nation wanted our long ball foreign mercenaries to go down.

Stoke 2 Bolton 2 The Fat Lady Sang
It's fine margins training in the Barclays premier league, but if truth be told, its probably not as bad as the picture you have built up due to over exaggerated urban myth

Do You Remember The Exact Moment
An alternative view: Which I understand will get slated because I am maybe more patient, naive, hopeful with blind faith I really don't know anymore! Anyway I will offer it nevertheless I was really pleased we got him but never hailed him as a messiah as I was well aware this would set him up to fail, as is happening. He was and still is tactically naive and I am unsure if he is learning any lessons. I still give him leniency because of the horrific adversity which he has faced this season (I sometimes wonder whether Mourinhio would have managed to keep this group of wounded, relatively low quality squad up in the prem) but the poor decision making, tactical blunders still happen. I have been patient and to a certain extent still am, because there are some good qualities (no doubt the majority disagree)but imo his man management is good, he responds well to the media, he is a motivator, his philosophy on how the game is played and how to treat players and fans is great. Others have witnessed differently, but I have heard that he is a fantastic coach. ALso I believe longevity with a manager more often than not is a better recipe for success than chopping and changing. I worry that if we did change, it wouldn't be for the better and I don't go along with the theory that anyone would do better. For me the biggest mistake he has made is not recognising, or not acting upon the fact, that he needs some backroom help, someone with prem experience. THis should have happened and hasn't. If it did I think it would benefit him and the squad and regardless of what division we are in next year it has to happen. My long standing patience is wearing thin, but I haven't given up on him yet, especially with the most important game in over a decade hanging over us.

While it shouldn't detract from Coyle s tactical inadequacies, to suggest we haven't been unlucky this season is absolutely unfathomable

Going In The Home End Away...
Like you, did both the city and bradford games in their end which were very tasty. Add to that united, crewe and bury. Done corporate in their end at Everton, united, west ham, blackburn, all bar west ham were fine. Anyone ever gone in an away end watching 2 teams you don't follow?! Did this a few times 20years ago when at uni with friends of fans at other clubs.2 which stood out were ipswich at anfield and west ham at forest, very strange folk!

Can Owen Be Trusted To Spend.
I think you can tell the type of player he likes, wilshire, sturridge, Holden, Ream, then there's eagles who he wanted as a squad player but had to play him a lot more than what he thought, then there's the frees which he's had to take gamble s on, reo coker worked the others to this point haven't. I am more concerned of his tactical application than I am of his ability to spot a decent player.

That Rumour That Stoke Had Scored Today
I went more old school than that, the pocket radio quickly dispelled those false claims

Bolton 2 West Brom 2
Got to be honest I am fearful today. I actually fancy us more to get something next week, just hope we are in a position for next weeks result to keep us up. I was impressed with west brom when we went there earlier this season, especially in the 2nd half when Hodgson changed their tactics and completely out classed us. Playing with a greater freedom and confidence I am struggling to see how our wounded troops can match them. Added to that I worry that after 5 minutes when west brom are stringing passes together and we aren't the crowd and atmosphere will become agitated and this will transcend to the players. That's my head. Heart tells me we will fight for our lives, get lucky and overcome the adversity that has faced us all season. They will have a togetherness that will bring about collective performance that gets us a win. The crowd despite the lack of quality can see they are giving 100% and stick with them to the end when SKD pops up with a late winner - he saves our season COYFWM

Bolton 2 West Brom 2
See what you're saying and if we did do it that would be the way to do it, I just wonder whether it would negate our most recent threat attacking wise with eagles and petrov

Latest Odds
Yep, I would especially if its 2 wins, bringing other clubs into the mix. Back in December I would have taken going into the stoke game with a chance of staying up.

Meanwhile Over On The Stokies Board
Hodgson: "Right lads I'm done with this club now and more importantly I've just had orders from the top to throw this game as it will be better for you next year if this shower of shit with an inept manager are still in the league. So go out there, fuck about and think about your holidays"

Latest Odds
I agree. It's a shoot out between us and QPR. Will have to dig out the pocket radio as I will be just as interested in QPR s game Sunday

Bolton 2 West Brom 2
This wouldn't work mate. Our wide players struggle defending when they have 2 full backs, never mind when they would have no-one covering the flanks behind them.
-
Wanderers 1 Tottenham 4
I'll be honest I was dreading coming on here I thought an irrational analysis of the game and our current situation would have flooded the thread, but its been pretty balanced. MY thoughts; - In the main we were out classed by a better team -we had a decent 20mins and had we got a goal we could have had a thriller - there is no lack of effort, if anything they are pushing themselves to the limit - we didn't surrender to spurs and give up the fight like blackburn did -we still have a chance to stay up COYFWM

Clutching At Straws...
YEh but that would mean QPR beating stoke, don't think I could handle that going into last game. unless of course we are sat there on 40 points after beating spurs and west brom

Always wary when folk become overwhelmingly positive. When it doesn't work out it often goes irrationally the other way. That said I am in the positive camp for this one.2-1 COYFWM
