Was it not genocide when Saddam was killing the Marsh Arabs in the South and the Kurds in the North? Should we be going into Nigeria and having a crack at Boko Haram? Not defending anyone just curious as to what your definition of genocide is.

I'm pretty lucky where I am in North London. Every time there's a fly past at Buck House the aircraft pass over our house heading down the Lee Valley before heading West up the Thames and over the Palace. Love seeing the Lancaster flanked by Spitfires and Hurricanes and the occasional glimpse of the Red Arrows. Stirs the blood, so it does.

Did you go to the Duxford Proms night? I went about 5 years ago. Full on Brass band playing the old standards whilst Spitfires and the Lancaster flew overhead. The Spitfire/ Hurricane aerial display was stirring stuff even in the piss pouring rain.- Ww Medical Advice

Au contraire. Do you think BWFC will pay £6 per item of mail to be delivered or negotiate a rate substantially less, then charge more?- Have You Ever Felt Threatened Abroad ?
Walking in LA near my hotel (on Hollywood Boulevard near the Chinese Theatre) I was stopped by a thoroughly nice Latin American gentleman who asked me if I wanted to buy a knife and, displaying an example of his wares, motioned me into a nearby alleyway. It was at that precise moment I discovered I could run quite fast over 200 metres. Another time in New York my wife and I were walking back to our hotel in Central Manhattan (near Madison Square Garden). It was about 2 am and we'd left a nightclub and she decided (pissed as she was) to sit down on the steps of the New York Public Library at the top of which had congregated some 30 afro-caribbean gentlemen of various ages from 12 to 25. They started to take an interest and it was then that I discovered I could run quite fast over 200 metres whilst carrying a near comatose 125lb woman.- Third Kit
Got one. Not for me but for someone else. Nearly all sold. Charging £6 for delivery mind so they're making their money back on donations to the charity.- You Know Who You Are....

The only real lump is between miles 10 and 11. Did this two years ago and absolutely loved it. Did 1:37 and could have gone faster but was saving myself for St Neots (a flatter course and great for a PB) a couple of weeks later (plus I was staying in Newcastle overnight and wanted to go out on the piss) Went on the piss after the race - asleep by 9.30 Went to St. Neots - did 1:45 and suffered all the way round. If you've got it in your legs go for it. Don't save it for tomorrow, it never comes.- Great Lyrics....

Why not try a minute run and then a minute walk recovery? Do that for thirty minutes, three times a week and it should start to garner results. After a week increase the running time and decrease the recovery (two minute run, one minute recovery) as your fitness increases.- Quick Quiz My Initials Dw

I would advocate the 5:2 diet too. Used it last year to lose half a stone. Fasted Monday and Wednesday (non-exercise days) and trained and ate as normal for the other five. I stopped at Christmas and haven't gone back to it but my weight has remained a constant 12.5 Stone (give or take a weekly fluctuation of a couple of pounds).- Itk Transfer Thread

I'm doing th'Ironmon next year. Registration opens Monday morning. Doing Olympic distance and standard distance (half-ironmon) this summer and then going for the big one, on Home Turf so to speak.- Bwfc History Thread, Did You Know's?

That's my problem too. I eat what I want because I train so much. Problem is when I'm injured I eat just as much because I'm used to it. Soon goes when I start training again.- Fat Bastards

Tis true. Muscle weighs more than fat. That BMI has me borderline overweight. I'm 5' 11", 12 stone 11 and train 6 days a week. Anyway it's all about the BFI nowadays. - Concorde
