  1. Turn up ready for battle like Wigan did last night and we'll be o.k.- Swansea may be on the beech. If we don't turn up (like Fulham) and let Swansea start playing then they may enjoy the stroll on the beech. 1-0 and fingers chewed to the first knuckle.
  2. Once Sam brought in Anelka, his chance went. Thought he'd looked o.k. prior to this, but needed to grow up. His time away, and lower down seems to have done this. Good luck to him
  3. I too once bought something from them. Fine until there was a problem. Never again
  4. Used to happen to me too. Not for a while though Once left an shape on the mattress- bit like the shroud of Turin
  5. By throwing bottles he ampered his own rescue Were the rescue teams galvanised into action?
  6. 2 in 2 for KD. Maybe worth a starting place against Fulham? Not sure how he'd do against Hangeland though. Klasnic gets some stick but still our most effective goalscorer. Assuming OC will stick with 4-4-2 then who'll be in?
  7. Tiger Tyres in Leyland Just sorted us out after a puncture while up there. Brilliant and professional service
  8. Wonder what flag he'll fly from Bradford Town Hall Thoroughly obnoxious character. Argues well, but wouldn't ever want him fighting my corner- not that he ever would
  9. It's not too dfifficult, but a little time consuming. Worth doing the preparation work well- decent soil and drainage etc and the right sort of grass seed- will achieve better results long term. There was once a diagram of the Reebok pitch construction- well over the top for a lawn but informative nevertheless! If you need any help- p.m. me or check us out in the networking section
  10. When I was little, I was feeshin' at Starmount- catching fook all. One of the bastards flew down and grabbed a fish off the surface. My brother was not amused, and when it came back he fired off a pebble with his maggapult. TWAT!, right under it's wing- it left. Now then, arm yourselves with maggapults (not an offensive weapon) and seasides usually have pebbles about. Put a few in to get a spread and fire away
  11. Surely a match against Fulham- it'll be civilised everywhere
  12. Give Vela a go. Fresh, highly rated, and hopefully fearless. They'll know nothing about him either. Don't really buy all this about not wanting to risk his future- what does it say to him if, when others are injured, Coyle plays a central defender in there?
  13. Maybe if they keep re-making it, they might get it right and it stays afloat
  14. Will give it a go. Plus record it for the young un- he's mad keen on the ship's story. Unless of course it's full of dead body scenes/shaggin
  15. Owt on offer. Nowt under factor 15
  16. Union is voting on strike action by tanker drivers. MOD is to train soldiers to drive tankers if needed
  17. Former work colleague rang them and told them he wanted it just for that game- i.e. just the month. Chap was very nice, sold him the month and immediately cancelled it again on one phone call- no hassle!
  18. Not seeing my old fella the day before he went into hospital in November. Therefore not being able to tell him I loved him before he was too ill to really know when I did
  19. Sausages, onion gravy, in a giant yorkshire pud. Heaven
  20. Bloody well hope so- if they can't get up for this, then they shouldn't be playing the game. Feel ashamed to admit it though, but I just can't see a decent performance/positive result. Recent games after sad events haven't filled me with confidence.
  21. Too true- but it's not unreasonable to expect a team playing those aound us to put the max effort in. Merson referred to them as tired-bollocks, it's the same for everyone. More like treading water before the cup games.
