Absolutely; but you're missing my point- none of that matters. They've got the gig and there's nowt we can do about it apart from change it. Its like those protestors waving placards with "not in my name" on them when we parliament votes to go into syria. We can all come on forums and complain all we like about their ineffectiveness etc but it makes not a jot of difference. Quite categorically agree with you they don't represent most fan's views, whether or not they give a toss I don't know, but as the current board they can carry on as they are until they're ousted from within or it becomes defunct in some way. Fortunately, Ken seems to have got their number and is keeping them at arms length. Perhaps a letter/massage to him signed by thousands of fans unhappy with the st and telling him to ignore them might help, in case he starts to think fuck this for a game of soldiers.

You may well be right; which would be their ultimate failing. I suppose that even if an alternative trust cannot be set up, then a fans' group could be created to get money together with a view to investing together with KA or providing a genuine business case to buy the club, thus taking the st out of the equation.

Sluffy- not knocking you- its purely that whether we believe the trust speaks for us or not doesn't matter; they're legally set up to get first refusal if all goes tits up. We've got our doubts as to whether they could manage it but sadly there's not much that can be done unless its membership changes stuff. I agree that they have no power to interfere with the running of the club etc, and I'm sure KA will fuck off their attempts to do so. If they were better run, then maybe they may get more influence, but as it stands I don't feel the club needs it. We need investment and better financial management and I see ken as providing that as things stand.

Sluffy- the point about st membership numbers and its direction is not really relevant. It was set up legally, and insufficient people were available for election to the committee (so I understand it). The only way to change that is to become a member and challenge them. Someone, somewhere may be able to change their methodology and appeal to greater numbers. You've suggested different forums joining together- great idea if you can get enough numbers to join the st and force through change. If something like this did ever happen though, it would require a clear mandate for whoever was put forward and thus an agreed strategy amongst everyone before hand. Good luck with that! Not sure if there's an alternative method; maybe a legal route if its not fit for purpose, but I wouldn't know.
