He was in a rush and clearly didn't want to say too much but when I asked whether that would be in weeks or months, he bid his farewell and said "hopefully in the next couple of days". Make of it what you will but I'm passing it on just in case there's something in it. As the bloke who went to see his doctor about not being able to pronounce his f's and tee aitches was told, you can't say fairer than that!

I was under the impression 12 month rolling deals only kick-in at the start of a season (could be massively wrong) - meaning we would only be paying him until end of this season. But he was definitely contracted on a 2 and half year deal so it's more than a little confusing. Anyway, if he takes the Orient job then we're quids in...sort of.
