  1. Now i like a pork pie as much as the next man but my girlfriend, who's from the south west i should add, just put brown sauce on hers. I was tryin to put her right about said HP usage but then tried a bit me sen just to hammer the point home, you know? I was wrong, very wrong! HP on a pork pie, my word who'd a thewt it! Don't know if this is common knowledge or not but a first for me and I do love a bit of brown.

Eye I'd have made him Mayor for that one Properly, but to be fair he was kind of a big deal
  3. Just thinking about those times sends a shiver down my spine! I remember being proper excited about signing Andy Walker and David Lee! He always seemed to score those cut in from the right and pop one in the top left for Bury, and against us. Did Rioch sign McAteer as well or was that Neal?
  4. and Matchwinner
  5. He really does sum up what's wrong with the 'modern' game! That said, he does bring a wry simle to me chops
  6. Writing this feels like being on the web version of the Samaritans. Gutted. Iv'e always tried to give Coyle the benefit of the doubt but now that shit is over I feel like havin a proper go. Can't really say anything else that hasn't been to be honest but I do have to say that for me, him and his perplexing decisions, not Gartside, has sent us down. Yes, injuries have been appaling and there must be a fair few smashed mirrors around old Bolton town but it's not a good enough excuse! Yesterdays game was winnable and it should have been done. It's not that game that sticks in my head though it's the Norwichs, Villa, Newcastle, Sunderlands at home! Games we should have been getting at least a point in and because of bad management we've got fcuk all! How he couldn't see that we were better, fcuking miles better!, with Muamba sitting in a 5 man midfield is and was beyond me, and that's really the tip of the iceberg. I think we have the potential to bounce back up but I don't see enough grafters and people who can tackle in our midfield. That needs sorting. As for Coyle i'd get rid now but who's going to replace him that would be any better? That's my biggest fear and has been all season - knowing he's probably as good as we're gonna get. I think we're stuck with him, so he either learns and improves or . . . I can't comprehend any other clubs fans right now, couldn't care less!
  7. My word that's a very bad weekend! Reckon that's the right thing to do me sen. Goin would be very messy for everyone, especially the kids. Head n chin up, get that money back n get taters deep on a lads jolly soon as
  8. Right now id take a grand but for very selfish reasons I used to think lads that didnt care passionately about a football team were a bit, well, Chris Eagley. Now I see folk cryin at football games and it all looks a bit 'sa a aad'. Personally, i think it's great to have a passion for something but it has to be put into perspective. How about re phrasing that question CWP? Would you take BWFC staying up if it means someone passes away (and vice versa)? Daft i know, but we all know the answer, i hope! Mind you im gonna look a right twat Sunday when im either; crying, smashing cups or sulking like a 7 yr old who's had his Star wars figures confiscated. Possibly all 3!
  9. Soggy arsed by the sounds of it
  10. I remember nearly gettin run over when we were last relegated, comin out of the pub oblivious to anything else around me! Thankfully, i don't think i could get that wound up about a game now. Sayin that, this season has had me frettin n sulking more than any other for a long time. I just think i'm glad i support a team where things happen; its exciting and usually after a day or so i can laugh about how s*^% we were! It's when my girlfriend says "It's only a game!" that I feel like killing someone
  11. I posted the original question not regarding whether The Roses would be any good musically/performance wise, rather would the event be marred by dickheads of all persuasions* ruining the 'ambience' and by the promoters bleeding every penny they can out of the crowd. Can't wait! Brown's always hit or miss but a good sesh with me mates listenin to tunes that were the background to our 'yoof' is all im after. Was a bit too young to catch em live last time round but when Brown has played Roses tunes it's always raised the roof. I expect shite sound, nob eds etc but one thing that really does fuck me off is people chuckin piss. Ive been 'splashed' on before and it has to be the most feral act on earth. Also ruined a jazzy fag id just began puffing at! Wouldn't be as bad if someone just started pissing on my leg. At least id have the opportunity to have a 'word'. Throwin piss into a crowd . . . id chop there fuckin hands off!
  12. Go on then . . . Mr. Zat Knight! Everything about the man, in or out of a Bolton, shirt irks me to the core.
  13. How can anyone say we've not been unlucky? Doesn't mean we don't have a tactically inept manager at the helm. Naive at best. If this news is true then it sums up our season for me. Having to resort to plan B and then realising there wasn't actually a plan A
  14. His signings have been a mixed bag so far and, as we all know, due to injuries some have played more than expected. He's clearly got to reduce wages etc and buy young talent which will take time to see results from. Whether that will succeed or not long term remains to be seen. Like some have said, it's how he gets those players to play that worries me.
  15. Eye somethin like that! Don't remember it but quite like the 'Ole . . . Bolton' chant.
  16. One of the first games i remember goin to that! Didn't we need a few results to go for us? I can still see folk carryin the cross bar round after the game! It's funny, Id have dreamed of seein us play in the championship (2nd div) then. We really have come a long way. Sadly, im pretty resigned to us droppin now and stormin the league next year. A win next week would seem like a dream. God, i want this season over.
  17. I herad that!! GET IN!!!
  18. Anyone know a link for the game? Moving house, no TV or radio and wont play GMR on iplayer! Arrgghh!
  19. Your a bad man! A very bad man!
  20. Aren't they white down there?
  21. If I had any respect or cared for my ex colleagues I would have gone into work unless dying. As i didnt i used to have a day off if my toes felt cold. Comes down to if I care about them (or feel they care about me). Wouldnt let a good lad/boss down but couldnt care less if they're arses!
  22. I was gonna call you a pussy till I saw that last post ! In Covent garden fer f's sake! Id only be havin a wee slurp not bakin with the stuff!
