  1. Graham Poll was on the radio and said it shouldn't have been allowed He said any object, a dog, a spectator, a balloon, on the pitch should result in a drop ball Now I remember as a kid this was not the case, if some dickhead ran on the pitch and the ball deflected in it was a goal...
  2. hehe yeah I would, I'm fooling nobody
  3. Astonishingly fit BUT she gets on my fucking nerves, right annoying c?nt, to the extent that I probably wouldn't
  4. I have a bodgy wall in my kitchen... DIY job A good sand, fill and repaint of the whole wall / room does work wonders. Do it, then catch it in good light to see the imperfections, and re-do it. And again. Obviously compared to a proper skim it'll be miles off in terms of standard But you can make a shocker of a job into something acceptable with a bit of elbow grease And then bang a shelf or cupboard over it
  5. Tomato soup and chips, gorgeous One of those genuine, rare, situations where the sum is greater than the parts
  6. Very good point actually I've NEVER seen anyone buy one, but there is a top shelf busting (pardon the pun) with them in my local corner shop Even moreso because broadband internet penetration (pardon the pun) is huge these days Some c?nt is buying them ! You also don't see as many flitting about the local park/hedges these days either
  7. Nathan Cleverly vs Courtney Fry, Friday Fight Night, 10pm Sky sports 2 Peep show, channel 4, 10pm
  8. Thursday, Fri, Sat, yes Any other night no Can't be doing with the slightly bad head/tiredness in work the next day, and I don't drink indoors either Having said that, having a young baby I go a couple of weeks at a time now without a drop of booze, doesn't even register, but I have to have a massive binge now and again
  9. Fair enough but it doesn't compare to a dozen games a season in Europe... I hate to agree with what Carlos says but it's true
  10. Exactly, he doesn't play a very clever game with the fans and press does he. I think he knows he could do better but he's just too damn stubborn. And I suppose hurt by the treatment he's had. But if he refuses to wise up, he's only actually damaging himself. If the situation is ever going to be resolved positively he's going to have to concede some ground, offer an olive branch, at some point.
  11. I got it too but I did live in the area for nearly ten years Quite a famous pic that one isn't it? I've deffo seen it before.
  12. It was before the match. He got a loaded question really, saying 'despite the good results your fans still call 606 every week complaining'. He just said he has had it from day one, and he was used to it, he didn't read the papers and 'certainly not the internet stuff' . It's a sad indictment of us really isn't it. I'm as guilty as most, we lose a couple of games and I want him out. Now we've had a good spell, all is rosy. I've never been like this with a manager before. Deffo think Brown is cracking up. Shame. It's a fucking pressurised job these days. Your character is scrutinised quite brutally.
  13. Megson was on the radio yesterday As usual everything he said was fair and fine The interviewer brought up the fans situation, now this must happen to Megson all the time, and as he does he just answered honestly. He really ought to start saying 'it's been done to death, I'd rather not talk about that again'. The media peck away at the wound and he helps them by talking about it. Too honest for his own good But I'd rather have him than nutjob Brown, any day of the week
  14. Yeah funny that. He's got a good shot and looks like he's got a good instinct in front of goal. If Megson has told him to focus his game around those aspects, fair play to him, looks like a good call. Cohen seemed more like a ballwinner, a poor one at that, last year.
  15. He's looked great hasn't he, Megson seems to have identified a role for him, gambling time after time with runs into the box (which Nolan stopped doing) I'll have to hold my hands up, I thought he was appallingly shit last season, a total nothing player
  16. Exactly right on both points They should hammer him for it, they should hammer every manager who talks about the referee afterwards It's not heartfelt complaining, he's playing the long game, this outburst gets him a dodgy decision in his favour at some point in the future
  17. After having my first little un six months ago, this story fucking kills me, just horrible beyond words
  18. I'm on 7962 upload 712 download Beat that
  19. It's 2.24am? Are we on a different clock down south?
  20. I've not seen us play like that for a long time, some of the attacking football was outstanding... Chung looks shit hot, just what we needed
  21. Add to the mix - he has clearly made up that story about saving a woman from topping herself on the humber bridge He was trying to disown it on the radio earlier Then he said about it 'we all go to that dark place, I did when I lost my job at Derby' The guy is mentally collapsing, which is actually not nice to see, might be better for him if he does get the push It's hard to be so sympathetic though, as he's such a fucking attention whore
  22. I'll assume you mean the tea rooms ... and yes, I did Seriously nice cakes of all shapes and sizes In truth Harrogate is far too refined for me, but for a visit, it's great Sort of the polar opposite to Blackpool
  23. Very nice place, best kept town centre I've ever been. The bars and stuff were surprisingly lively though, and there's a strip club etc, it's not an OAP fest by any means Recommended
  24. Aye, we've got loads of massive ones knocking about at he moment, they spin webs right across the front door / garden Definitely changed since I were a lad
