  1. The Norwich game in early 95 or late 94 was effing freezing too though if I remember rightly, didn't we beat them in the 1/4s?
  2. Recently claimed for a laptop repair, I can confirm they are utter useless c?nts, the lot of em Should've fixed it myself, would've been cheaper than the excess and saved me a lot of stress Got a complaint in and if they don't come up with the goods (waive the excess) it's the ombudsman / FSA route, I don't see why they should just get away with shoddy service scot free... if you don't complain they will keep doing it Actually I must say Churchill car insurance were absolutely bang on with a recent claim I had, absolutely superb, I had to stop the replacement hire car people from harassing me in the end, cos I didn't actually want one
  3. Aye, fair do's, totally agree
  4. Fair do's Traf but I'm also sick of Gartside and Megson's coded messages, they need to grow up. 'People in football know'... 'There are elements trying to unsettle the club'... 'Whoever wrote it (the latest JLS story), it's nothing to do with football'... What the f?ck? If someone is unsetlling the club name them. If some journo has an agenda, name them. Seems to me like rampant paranoia, or at least focussing on all the wrong things
  5. I just do not understand what Elmander's supposed attributes are. What is he good at?
  6. I suspect they mean under pressure in the context of his job, not in the context of world peace and a cure for society's ills.
  7. That's fucking horrendous. Given Taylor isn't showing a lot this season, Megson's 'good record' in the transfer market is looking a bit tainted now. And these players have mostly had time to settle in, and he's had time to find them a role to get the most out of them.
  8. Slightly favourable comments towards Pac added above. If Oscar can push Floyd to a split decision with shockingly crude tactics, Manny can run him close too. Floyd's reputation is miles apart from his achievements IMO. Best fighter ever based on career best wins against Hatton out of his weight class, Corrales, and an old Oscar? Give over ! He should have fought Mosley, Williams, Cotto, Margarito these last few years but he's bottled out. Simple as that. He only fights smaller or older guys, he is obsessed with his unbeaten record.
  9. Kind of agree but that's true of most bands isn't it The ratio of good track to filler is decent enough for me
  10. Yeah. A favourite fighter of mine too. He started so well, but he should never have exchanged with Pacman. He could've made it a very tight fight if he'd kept the tight guard, kept the jab going, and frustrated Manny. Once he took him on, and Manny landed that big left hook, the fight was over. Pacquiao proved he can take a punch at he higher weight too. He's amazing. God I hope Pac crushes Mayweather.
  11. Yet another mind blowing performance from Pacquiao You just run out of things to say Already a legend by some distance, if he beats Floyd, he's got claims to be the best fighter ever.
  12. He's out to 12's now for the decision. I'm having that. He looked fantastic at the weigh in. I thought he might be gaunt but he looked in the best shape I've ever seen him. Oh and here's the double knockdown from the Mathew Hatton undercard, wild fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCU389zi4wc
  13. I'm gonna put money on Cotto decision if it's 10's. Prices could go haywire after the weigh in if Cotto looks painfully gaunt OR comes in over 145
  14. Cotto for me too. Diaz, Oscar and Hatton have been very crafty matchups for Pacquiao. He'll taste true Welterweight power this weekend and he won't like it. I don't think it will be quite the barn burner everyone expects though. I think Pac will be a bit cautious out of respect for Cotto's power, and Cotto will fight as a counter puncher. Oh and can folk keep the MMA shit out of boxing threads
  15. Congrats to Haye, fought a smart fight, brave thing to do in Germany. I thought he won but I fully expected the judges to job him.
  16. In Germany so decent start time, they don't let the yanks fuck em about. Will be in the region of 10pm Valuev late stoppage my guess It's one of those fights that is hard to call beforehand, but within a round or two the result might be obvious
  17. Indeed Scholes, Giggs, Shearer...
  18. I can't believe what I'm reading. So how exactly can you tackle these days, if you can't touch the opposing player? Tackling from behind was outlawed but he beat Walcott to the ball clean as a whistle, absolutely perfect tackle The only rule is that the tackle shouldn't be reckless, which is wide open for interpretation However I don't see what's reckless about taking the ball cleanly after the forward's touch bounces a yard off him
  19. I suppose Giggs flicks and crosses would be counted
  20. Absolutely fine tackle, perfectly timed in fact.
  21. Maybe I'm losing my touch but I can't win these haggles these days Especially mobile phone companies
  22. he did shit his pants Welcome to England Rafa, we don't do histrionics but once the line is crossed... take cover
  23. I'm sure I saw it in Reina's goal at one point, must've been imagining it Piss funny though, the kids had a right grin on their face when they knocked it on the pitch, they must've been mortified a few minutes later And they've been ID'ed on MOTD
  24. Sat in their end last year sober. Their support was embarassing... Stretford End was silent, the odd outburst from the end nearest away fans, but I genuinely didn't have a Manc within spitting distance of me (except me and my nephew ) Choc full of day trippers
  25. We were very unlucky to concede a) early and the second when we were having a good spell Creditable performance and we are looking a decent outfit just now Gardner has really come on as a footballer over the years, never thought he had the control or composure for centre of the park, but he really does His first touch of the ball is good and he knows what he wants to do next before the ball comes to him, always a sign of class
