2025 Holidays

So where’s everyone going?

St. Ives, Cornwall booked for early June.

Contemplating some winter/Easter sun.

We’ve sadly had to let our caravan go in Snowdonia, so won’t be having our usual few weeks there.

Yes he’s fine cheers, he was only out of the pool for a couple of days. CT scan confirmed he has no brain

  • Probably the right place to share a tale from our French trip that morphs into a recommendation. Armistice Day is a bank holiday in France and the commemorations are always on the 11th, not the S

  • I hope you manage to get back up here before the summer is out and I hope the wife makes a full and speedy recovery.

Only marginally less shit than Broadwater next door, if it's still there

Once played The Broadwater FC on the playing fields there.

It kicked off that much one of their subs jumped in his car which was next to the pitch and drove it on the pitch at the ref and our keeper and straight through the net.

Also when I was playing in under 13s a lad whispered in my ear at the start of the game that if I didn't let him score he'd stab me after the match.

I was playing upfront.

Tenerife again in a few weeks - spotted a Jet2 package, booked with Traf tours after giving him the details. I could have squeezed an extra 20 quid booking direct through a cashback site, but wouldn't get the personal touch, and it's keeping a small business ticking over

Off to Hurghada next week, I may well combust within a day, fucking scorchio! The missus is a mare for impulse booking, I keep telling her to wait and we can get Traf to sort us out.

Hurghada?
You'll not be needing a jumper.

I've just had my first holiday in 11 years, 5 nights away on sunny Morecombe..

1 night we managed due to unforseen events, frustrated isn't the right words.

Glad we didn't book abroad as I'd be frustrated as!

Sorry to hear about your wife, but Red Bank is lovely, as is Archers Cafe on site. We often pop down on a Sunday afternoon.

It is lovely, I took the kids back this morning to collect the tent and things as we had to just get her home quick as. I took both kids for a posh ice cream as I'd promised them. Onto the beach as they'd asked to see the wrecked 4 x 4.

They love it any hopefully we'll get a long weekend in in a week or two.

Bloody hell Swanny, you deserve some good luck at some point!

Change of scene will be great for the kids before they go back to school, even if it is only for a night or two.

Hope your Mrs is on the mend soon.

Just back from 10 nights in Hisarounu, another great holiday to a brilliant place. Crammed in plenty of excursions along with a trip to the hospital as my lad thought he was Tom Daly. 6 stitches and £1200 later is not what you need 1 day in. Insurance have been great though and hopefully we will be paid up this week.

The prices are now getting a bit mental and are due to increase again before next years holiday season, which means it will probably be our last trip there for a while which is a shame as it’s the family happy place.

If anybody is thinking about going there go for it, there’s something for everyone.

Booked sailings and hotels for a mega 3 week road trip round Germany, Poland, Czechia and Holland. Just working out what to do.

Hamburg (got the kid in town so no reeperbahn), Berlin, Katowice, Prague, Munich, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

@BobyBrno we'll be driving by Brno and fancied breaking up the journey there what's the one thing we should check out.

If you’re only there for a day, Spilberk Castle is probably your best bet. It’ll take up a few hours. Villa Tugendhat is worth a visit if your into history and architecture. (Originally owned by the distant relatives of a possible Tory leader) The Capuchin Crypt is also worth a visit if you’re into that sort of thing. Lots of good bars and restaurants. Hope you enjoy your visit. 👍

No problem. Even though I’m familiar with that part of Europe, I’ve always fancied doing what your trip involves. Let us know how you go on. You could probably give me, and others, many tips. 👍

Could easily have added another week on with places we missed out. Not sure the extra week would go down well with school or the bank balance.

After a few shit months were the FiL has been poorly and being looked after by my missus he sadly passed away.

We are now in a position to get away and are thinking of a few days over Christmas for a get away from it all break. Thinking ideally of a castle or luxury country house type place where they can feed us and ply us with alcohol, so you good people of WW do your best please.

Any advice for airport lounges? I’ve only ever been in one, which was included in ticket price before flying to Dubai.

What’s the going rate? Are there any deals?
