SNP - What fun!

The SNP and Labour are fundamentally different. We all knew this would happen- as has always happened with nationalist parties throughout history.

The Labour movement share very different political and moral motives from the SNP. They have been shown up that they can't hold progressive programmes because they are a single issue party at their core and as soon as that aim moves further away, they can't govern.

Their failure was always on the cards, and it's funny that the right wing thinks that proves them right when in actuality it's centenrist lefties who are there to pick the pieces up.

Some good points in here.

To be fair, they have (on the whole) governed with stability & less chaos & corruption than the Tories. Just don’t mention the van 😉

But yes, when you take away independence debate they struggle. They’ve used it as an excuse far too often. I still think there are many MPs in the party who, Indy debate aside, share similar values with many Labours MPs. And there some who are more conservative.

According to the latest poll there’s 47%of the electorate who want independence. The chance to rejoin the EU is appealing to people up here. Not sure the SNP are unified enough to govern post referendum, they would likely split.  Not that they’d win with the current polling.

I don't pretend to understand why you always refer to the Green Party as Communist, as I've never really looked into what they're all about, and they're of pretty much zero relevance here in the UK - however, I did hear somebody the other day on the radio refer to them as the Watermelon Party  - Green on the outside, but masking deep red inside 🍉

Analysis of Green parties around the world concluded that they are far to the left of 'traditional socialist' parties around the globe and in essence, communists masquerading as environmentalists. If I could provide a link I would but maybe one of our resident linklaters (I know, I know but the word just was a good fit) can find it.

Mud huts by candlelight and surviving on whatever you are capable of growing. Their perfect world.

The thing that really grates with me about them is that they garner votes from well meaning but misguided types who have a fluffy marshmallow view of the environment/recycling/global warming stance the Greens portray and vote for them because they put forward a public face of having these things as their priority.

The truth is far more sinister:

  1. 2.
    ARCHAICHERALDRY
of, on, or towards the left-hand side

Despite his protestations to the contrary I suspect that Swinney is a caretaker.   When the Scottish Labour Party rip the SNP a new arsehole at the next general election he’ll retire gracefully on his First Minister pension. The cue for Forbes to step up to lead the SNP in its recovery.

What could possibly go wrong? 😑

Doesn’t matter what mainstream party you’re in really… if you’re openly opposed to gay people being able to marry then you’re going to impact your chances of reaching the top.

Yeah, she's like an odd DUP member, really out of touch.

Some session you’ve been on. You must have polished off at least 6 family size bags of wine gums

Why is it that if someone disagrees with you they are either ill or drunk macho man RW?

I think if I were you I'd look closer to home. I do hope the armed forces aren't just full of gobshites like you, or at least they have someone with an actual braincell actually directing them.

But I guess you were a useful tool - and I do mean that in the pejorative sense.

You've got to have something other than the SNP to get your rocks off I suppose.

You know fuck all about me, or my interests. I’m more than happy for that situation to continue.

And on that we happily agree 👍

I’m happy that you’re happy. You’ve been a tad tetchy the last couple of days. I hope that your keyboard hasn’t melted. 😉

It’s nothing to do with disagreeing with you.

It’s 3-4 abusive posts in the early morning that has led me to think that, and it’s not just me questioning Some of your rants.

Ticket sales not going to plan or was it a few celebratory Labour drinks? Whatever it is there’s nothing wrong with a good slurp,  prob best off giving social media a miss though when steaming.
