BeeversLeftPeg Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 First knew him on Burnden Aces then used to char fairly regularly at home and aways, top lad. 37 is absolutely no age and it really does put everything into perspective. Rest easy big fella. Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Didn’t know him personally but it’s a tragedy for his family R.I.P Quote
bolton_blondie Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Really got to me this. He was a lovely man who deserved a lot better luck than what he got. Absolutely no age. Those poor boys 😔 Quote
Duck Egg Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Sad news. I had some interactions with him briefly on Burnden Aces but didn't know the bloke. FrancisFogarty Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 I didn't know him apart from on here, where I think we might have disagreed a time or two in the past. RIP Sharps, and condolences to his family and friends. Quote
ZiggyStardust Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Never knowingly met the lad, but remember his presence on here. Always a crying shame when something like this happens. Thoughts are with those left behind, and hope he has now found peace. Quote
Popular Post barryk32 Posted June 5, 2023 Author Popular Post Posted June 5, 2023 His mum's rang me today, it was natural causes. It doesn't make it any easier for me, my best mates still not here. Hope it makes it easier for his family though knowing he didn't leave them. Quote

Must have been a bloody tough gig for you having to put his door through as well, hope your alright 👍 RIP fellow wanderer Quote

Having been to a funeral recently of someone who took their own life I can promise you 100% it will make it easier for the family and over time it will help you too I think. Still tragically sad. Still tragically sad. Agreed, dying of natural causes doesn't make the death of someone so young any less tragic, however, it will make the grieving process of those close to him a lot easier. At the very least it means they can grieve without thinking they could/should have spotted the signs, done something to help, etc. It's still terribly sad though. Quote
Casino Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 i'd made my assumptions, i guess justifiably at that age, but so pleased i was wrong losing him is dreadful but to think you couldve stopped it must be many times worse Quote
Kane57 Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 His name is a proper blast from the past. Was part of the Sluffy mob too, I think, once BA finished up their message board. Condolences to his family and friends. Quote
barryk32 Posted July 31, 2023 Author Posted July 31, 2023 I know this isn't really a clapping during the game type of site but..... Adams lads are hoping some will get on board with a minutes applause on the 37th minute for their dad on Saturday Quote

gaztruman Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 RIP, I first met him on an away day on the club travel coach - must have been about 2003 and also remember him from the official BWFC forum. Tragic news. Quote

Really glad it got a good reception, I didn't know him but I think he'd have bloody loved that. Quote

No. None of them were regular attendees, they all just came for a bit of a sort of send off. It was his brother in the Big Sharps shirt. It was his family, me and his lads were in our usual spot Edited August 5, 2023 by barryk32 Quote
