The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

Challinor set to leave Stockport.

Was about to post a link to that from that O'Rourke guy, not sure how reliable he is?

Now, does that team break up and drop?

He’s usually on the money with what he puts out.

Hopefully it’s the start of a long downward projection for them!

Fucking virtue signalling of the highest order. They should hang their heads and never, ever mention Heysel after what their 'supporters all over the world' did.

Perfect, not just one non-manager but two.

Let's hope they don't realise/admit their mistake till at least Christmas.

Skubala will be fine as long as they are in the top 8 and don't lose 3 on the trot.

Todd-McFarland written all over it. Hopefully

Its easy to say without being in that situation but how can you spend 3 seasons building a team to win promotion then just leave at the first opportunity to a not very massive club?

Obviously the money will be miles better but come on man. At least do a season.

I hope Lincoln stay up and he gets sacked after 10 games the silly cunt.

He probably realises you have to take opportunities when they arise.  If Lincoln are bottom of the league at Christmas his reputation as a championship manager will be gone, possibly for good as he isn't a "name".

He's striking while the iron's hot, and getting a gig at a club that could realistically aim for the play offs, on a big 3 year contract.

SS was assistant to Lowe at one point.

Not saying no assistant manager has ever stepped up to be a manager, there will be exceptions.

SS was assistant for a couple of years, then a manager.

Cohen has been a coach or assistant manager for 6 years, Shaw for 10 years plus.

That will be their natural level, they won't be managers anywhere never mind Lincoln in another year, IMO.

If either was a natural manager, they wouldn't be joint managers, one would take the lead, as happened with Todd and McFarland eventually.

Cohen was SS's assistant manager at Stoke, just found that out.

Most likely pal.

Nah, he's way too entwined in the Barca thing to ever want to manage Real Madrid.

Skubala never played professionally and his previous jobs have been a PE teacher, England futsal coach, Leeds U21s and Lincoln City.

He might make more in a season at Bristol City than he has in his life to this point.

Former player & current Kenya manager Benny McCarthy plans to chuck his hat in the ring.

That spells 6 months of crisis.

If Rovers want to go down the ex-manager/player route, Mark Hughes has left Carlisle.

Blackburn will appoint the applicant with the lowest wage demands.

Stockport supporting mate reckons Sheffield Wednesday. Apparently, the Stockport County Chief Executive has just been appointed Sporting Director at Wednesday!
