The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

I bet he's bothered (nice 2 year contract to be paid up, on top of the 2 years remaining on his Spurs contract).

Onto the next gig, reputation not overly damaged if he was only given a month.

Probably Celtic.

In terms of reputation

He won't be getting another PL gig any time soon if he gets potted at forest

Had him down as a PL dud from day one

Should Stick to the pub Leagues

Russell Martin on the outs at Rangers. Some local weirdos will be sad about that.

Won a trophy with spurs which I think will land him well.

Another philosophy manager though so sympathy is small.

I genuinely don’t think they are that bothered as the reward for failure is incredible as a prem manager.

But put another way, he's a pub league standard manager, and he's had 6 years worth of Prem contracts on the back of it and won a European trophy.

If he'd gone to Bolton instead of Celtic he wouldn't have got Prem jobs as a result, he'd have got found out like IE and would be back home by now.

But he could take over at Celtic again and win some more trophies and end every season singing We Are The Champions.

Yeah, easy to make a fortune being a shit manger

Talking of the Pub League ... Russell Martin has been sacked as Rangers head coach after only 17, mostly shite, games in charge.

aye

agree with all that

he made a reputation for himself of playing winning football, so someone was bound to give him a stab at the PL sooner or later

it delivers, but not enough to keep him in a PL job long

he's got a job on if he wants to take a successful nuno drilled team and get them playing "angeball" right away

just another example of a manager who won't shift from his brand

He was lucky to get that many

It's good to see another philosophy bro turfed out

That actually seems a long time nowadays

Not only with he was obsessed with passing, despite not really being successful at all, he somehow had the ability to fail upwards like Bobby Martinez

The biggest nobhead in football.

On the going for a pint scale he's rock bottom. I'd rather drink with Ian Huntley.

Complete dick head.

I have to admit, I'm quite enjoying that wanker Marinakas' suffering - coming onto the pitch to confront his manager towards the end of last season was fucking farcical

Going off his Wiki page, confronting Nuno was small time for him

Match fixing allegations, drug trafficking charges and a player getting beaten up by fans after he fell out with Marinakas

Don't think he's suffering will be that huge

He'll be able to have a cry into Lucy Pinder's massive breasts when he gets home though

Suffering, discomfort, squirming

Call it what you will, he's certainly not enjoying it

Luton potted their mon.

Bet he wishes he never left Wycombe.

Except for the 3.5 year contract he got at Luton, who were in the championship then.  A fair guess that he at least doubled his wages and still has nearly 3 years left.

He'll probably go back to Wycombe when they sack Mike Dodds (another coach having a go at managing, like Grant at Hudds).

Wycombe already sacked him and appointed Mike Duff

Laughable to read Donkey shaggers fans thinking Evatt plays multiple types of football. They obviously crave the sideways and backwards garbage we had to suffer. They deserve him let’s hope he gets it.
