Is it possible that there is some sort of "cooling off period" that has been used, thus saving on such a big compensation package.

Most things are possible, of course, but in a 'fixed-term contract' notice and termination rights are usually baked in.

The terms tend to be reciprocal. So, if you're confident you've captured a real prize, you'd be as keen to prevent them easily walking out on you as you are to reduce any rip-off termination fee if they turn out to be shite.

We hear a lot about 'rolling contracts' with a 12 months roll-over. But this with Leverkusen was only a 2-year contract anyway.

Unless it's a Gross Misconduct matter which would allow termination with no compensation. But that would be severe.

I haven't checked this but I'm told

Looks like by the start of the season there’s gonna be one manager in the Championship who was managing the same club in the second tier at the start of last season.

That's the guy at Pompey

Hmm not sure but even so job security is hardly the name of the game. Unless it is not including promoted and relegated teams ?

In at Forest

not fucking about are they

I suspect this has been gestating since the day Spurs sacked him.

The fat Greek owner giving Nuno the cold shoulder etc. and just waiting for matters to come to a head

He must occupy the corridors like a bad smell.

Always hanging over any incumbent.

I was thinking more like a dead body in the walls, that no one quite knows where it is to get rid of

Mike Dodds gone from Wycombe

What a surprise, coach gets EFL managerial job and lasts a few months.

He signed a 3.5 year contract 6 months ago, nice work if you can get it.

Grant at Huddersfield probably the next of the first time managers to go, its months since they sacked anyone.
